I think legally it's 15 weeks before your expected due date (so usually week 25), but lots of companies have individual policies depending on potential risk. I work in the NHS and we're told to tell 'as soon as we know' but definitely by 20 weeks.
Sorry you think it may cause issues :grouphug: I know legally they can't do anything, but it doesn't stop us worrying about people's attitudes in the workplaceThe sooner you tell them though, the sooner they can do a risk assessment and start taking things like antenatal appointments into account.

Thanks Amyfoo. They were horrid during my last pregnancy sent me to do a group in the woods where i had to walk a mile and there were no toilets or anywhere to sit as it was raining and i was there 4 hours when i was 8 months pregant last time so I dont feel like i would benefit from telling them i just think they could start making things trickyI also havent told any of my family yet and last time they told all the staff who told the families who know my family!:eek:
Just take each day as it comes.
Bump due 18th January :j0 -

If they try and pull anything like that again I would just tell them its not a suitable activity for a heavily pregnant woman and you wont be doing it. Same with anything you feel uncomfortable with, tell them you want an assessment with occupational health first. Just remember, if they are arsey, you can be just as arsey back, thankfully we have the law on our side, and with good reason!0 -
Definitely agree with Amus - anything that you don't feel comfortable with doing, make it known and if they're funny point out your legal rights.
Can't believe I'm 24 weeks this coming Saturday, soon have to go onto the main thread, time seems to be speeding up! Starting to get a bit of heartburn now but not too severe, and depending what position winegum is in I have to walk at snails pace as its so uncomfortable which at the moment is amusing me as its come on all of a sudden, she must be that bit bigger nowAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Half way through my glucose tolerance test - the drink tasted like a cola ice-pop so nowhere near as bad as I had imagined. Now in the 2hr wait until the next blood test but blimey I'm starving after fasting for 14 hours! Drink woke little man bean up so he's having his own party in there. Fingers crossed it all comes back ok.
Anyone else seem to constantly have their mw appointments rearranged? 3 out of 4 of mine have been rearranged last minute (two at the time they were due to turn up!), getting annoyed as I work full time and we're too busy for me to have to keep rearranging cover because of it..grrr!
Hello and congrats to all the newbies - I've found these 12wks (unlike the first 12) have flown past. :-)

Had a scare this morning, out on customer site until Wednesday, had an over full bladder and experienced some spotting first thing. Seems to be ok now though. Baby loves scaring Mummy!
