14 weeks is very early if this is your first. Gas, wind and movements often feel very alike to begin with. I suppose it's one of those things only you know!
I've been feeling things for 4/5 days now. OH felt it on Tuesday too which I was very suprised at given my placenta is anterior. Apparently it's at the front at the right though so there is a small section that is placenta free.

The woman who did my scan yesterday was really really lovely but hadn't read any of my notes and started asking if this was my first baby as she wasn't sure why I was there. She also said my uterus was a bit of a 'funny shape'. Yes love, I know! I think she felt a bit bad afterwards :( I'm under the same consultant I had at the infertility clinic so she has no excuse not to know.

Does anyone else have any 20 week scans coming up? Is everyone mostly team yellow? I have lots of admiration for those with patience. It is a virtue I definitely don't possess!

I felt DS1 at 14 weeks, funnily enough, I didn't feel DS2 or this one until later on.

I still lurk here but I wont be offended if I'm taken off the list now as I'm past 24 weeks and am on the big thread list.

ok i feel like the worst ever with updating. ive been lurking but not much to say really.

congrqts on team pink lily :)

we are team yellow, our hospital area wont tell you what it is and we arent going to pay for a private scan, so we'll just wait :)

Well we've had our 20 odd week scan x2 since the little one was being very wriggly and uncooperative the first time (not much better the 2nd time but the sonographer was determined!) we came away from the 2nd scan with a lovely little picture of he baby sucking their thumb, cutest thing ever :)

hope everyones feeling well, cant believe im only a week away from the big thread! eeek

    Bigzippy - EDD 8th January 2014

I chopped off up to amus cos she'd mentioned and I've seen them all on the big thread, my maths couldn't work past there though :p and I can't remember amyloofoo's edd but know she's moved over from the 12 wk thread just before me :)

Anyone had any weird reactions to telling people they're pg?
I had (family friend scenario) mother being v off with me because I'd dared to hide her daughter's posts (from my newsfeed on fb) for a while, after she had her baby (I was going through fertility testing etc and had just lost my Mil, so were getting used to the idea of her never being around if we ever did manage a child). I'm ticked off about it tbh, as she knew we'd been having troubles, but, what can you do?

Lily, my 20 wk scan is 21st Aug, I think and we're team yellow :)

Zippy - Amy's EDD is 28-12-13! I won't bother reposting, you can just edit yours. Also, don't loose any sleep over those individuals. Some people can't see past the end of their own nose and if they haven't faced infertility we can't expect them to understand. You are a better person for it :)

I've not had any weird reactions as I think it's expected when you have a child the age of DS but I've had so many 'friends' I haven't spoken to for years text me and say 'Oh my god, let's go for a coffee and you can tell me all the gossip'. Um...how about !!!!!! off and mind your own business? Humf!

I am loving feeling all these movements. They're quite strong already. I hope this means I have a super active baby although I'm also keen for her to stay on the small side so she doesn't run out of room too early. I really, really, really don't want to risk prem labour again. 37 weeks will do just fine.

Well winegum was in the same position yesterday, she's obviously comfy with her head down! (Which had mil worrying as she thought that meant something was wrong, nope, baby is merrily kicking and punching she just likes lying on her head!). Sonographer was lovely this time though and we managed to get her to move enough for her to check her brain so she's had the all clear. She even explained which bit was the stomach etc, which didn't happen last time.

We just had people being very surprised & excited, one person at work asked if it was planned (we've been together over 10 years and its my first pregnancy - pretty sure we've worked out how to avoid getting pregnant lol), said I could hardly go round work saying I'm really broody I want a baby! :p
