    I'm only a day behind you Poppy - 23+1

Been for anomoly scan part 2 today to check heart & face which they couldn't do last time.

Baby was still camera shy - was in there 10 minutes shaking & rolling to get it to move (I know that's illegal to do to a baby in the outside world!). Then got sent for a drink, chocolate & walk. After 20 mins they had another go & thankfully it had moved round.

So all OK, placenta still covering the cervix (they wouldn't have expect this to move at this point), which adds another difficultly to the scan as they can't scan upwards due to the placenta being in the way.

Back there in 2 weeks for glucose test & three weeks later for growth scan (& 3 weeks later for placenta scan & 3 weeks later for growth scan). Thinking of asking for a reserved space in the car park! From my perspective, it's reassuring to be checked.

Is the glucose test something everyone has to have? Only it's never been mentioned to me before.

Some authorities offer it routinely others have certain criteria.. ask the mw next time you are there.. you might not fit the criteria.. be glad it is horrid by all accounts.

My BMI is over 30 which is why it's recommended for me.:(

I've got the glucose test a week Monday. Here, it's because my BMI is over 30.

    Hello again,

I've also had anomaly scan part 2 - he decided he would show his face this time so lips were given the OK.

Looking very similar to the 15wk (late 12wk) scan only slightly more room to lay out a bit flatter, no idea how to add pictures on here - but got a nice profile shot of him.

Also confirmed he was 'DEFINITELY' a boy lead to a not-so-secretly smug OH :rotfl:

Found out my bargain car seat didn't have the padding (headhugger, crotch padding etc.) which was annoying... but then found some lovely mums on FB groups who gave me theirs (one free, one bargain price). Just missing some shoulder/strap padding now!

October still seems like a very long time away... But I imagine the next few weeks will go quicker and quicker!

    Hope everyone is OK x

I've been booked in for GTT at 28 weeks, didn't get the feeling it was optional where I live so I think everyone gets one. They gave me lucozade though which is more bearable, though I will have to have brekkie before 7, then drink it at 8am as my app is at 9!
