So tired, and really don't feel like eating much at the moment (she says, munching on a dairy milk). Has anyone else lost their appetite? So much for the mythical "eating for 2" which I'm supposed to be enjoying (I usually love my food). Raging earache as well, which I think is related to a wisdom tooth (hate the dentist, haven't been for years, but am going to make the most of my NHS exemption cert so am biting the bullet and have made an appointment for Thursday).

Vic3, hope your scan goes well tomorrow! *hugs* to anyone else who needs them at the moment.

tiny, i have the opposite problem, been trying to be good but have just got through half a tub of ben and jerry's! :o

I bet the dentist wont be that bad, they will do their best to get rid of the pain for you at least :)

I'm with Toothfairy4 - eating for an entire football team at the moment! I didn't get a specific craving, allllll food appeals to me now. Hoping it doesn't last and replace the bump with a bulge!

Bought a pram/pushchair Bugaboo set today (2nd hand)... comes with converters for a Maxi Cosi car seat so hunting for one of those & an Easyfix base.
They gave me a car seat too, but it is for 9+months... it is an Isofix base though, so at least if I get a newborn car seat with a base I can reuse the base!

Hunting Gumtree/Freegle/Freecycle for bits and bobs now even though I said earlier that I was going to wait much nearer the time... One week until my next scan :):)

Continualdiamond - Glad things turned out to be ok. Its such a worry isn't it this pregnancy lark :o

Vic - Good luck for the scan today x

Cheryl - I think if you get something like a card and maybe something small that will be ok. My DD was born in May, and I didn't get anything for the mothers day when I was 7 months pregnant, and even when she was 10 months old I think he got me something weird like some socks and some flowers? All I wanted was something with mummy on it, like a mug or a bookmark. I know some men don't go in for the novelty daddy type presents, but some would really appreciate something like that so just do what you think is best.

Kscarlet - My movements are few and far between still at the moment, but I do love the Doppler for times when I do get a bit concerned. I also think that when I am busy I just don't notice them - they are probably still there but I notice them most when I am laid in bed or in the bath as I have nothing else to focus on iyswim... Bio oil made no difference for me last time, so I don't think I will be bothering with anything. I think they say its down to your skin type, and some women will get them no matter what. Mine are all faded now, and they don't bother me at all.

Tiny - I don't have as big an appetite as before pregnancy which has really surprised me. I am overweight this time round tho, so I suppose I am a little more aware that I don't want to overeat - but I genuinely haven't been hungry. I still weigh 2lb less than when I got my BFP. With DD I had been dieting for a year prior to falling pregnant, so I just used it as an excuse to pig out and enjoy all the foods I hadn't allowed myself for a year :o I put on 5.5 stone with her  Hope your dentist apt goes ok x

Babamoose - Yay for baby purchases! Its so exciting when you start buying things :j

AFM - My bump paint went amazingly well yesterday - I am so proud of my lil selfies! Can't believe I was having nightmares about it now the night before :o This is my lovely 37 week bump model.

Abis that is amazing! Well done you! What a lovely idea I would love to have my bump painted :)

Thanks for the stretch mark suggestions I will see what I can find. I'm sure it's hereditary and as my mum has loads all over her tummy I was certain I would get them. Thankfully I got off fairly lightly I only had them the one side of my tummy where the baby kicked the most! They have gone white now and only visable up close, I've a suspicion I'm going to end up covered!

Still not many movements it almost feels like baby has moved further back so could be why. Doesn't stop me worrying though which is ridiculous this early on!

Good luck today Vic thinking of you xx

Just to add re: movements. You are supposed to feel 10 in a 24 hour period when you get past 28/29/30 weeks. That's not 'sessions' of movement, it's only 10 individual ones, which really isn't very much.

To be honest, I would just take note of what is normal for you and then if you notice a marked drop give your midwife a ring. But again, that is only for the last 10 weeks of pregnancy.

Abis - Your painting is wonderful!! You are so talented!

Abi - that's amazing - what a lovely thing to do! I just read your post from yesterday and I feel angry/upset on your behalf. I honestly cannot believe somebody would write that but they clearly haven't experienced losing a baby. I do understand that the baby wouldn't have survived but that doesn't make it any less real or loved than anyone else's.

Kscarlet - you're right stretch marks are to do with your genetics, if you're likely to get them no amount of oil/cream will stop them but may improve their appearance.

Tiny - my appetite has definitely changed, I could easily go a whole day without eating (I don't though) but if I do find myself hungry there's no stopping me. Chocolate is still making me sick which is so sad - I really fancy it and I don't feel unwell at all eating it but once I have- bleugh...

Thanks for the advice about dresses - I have ordered a couple so I can see what fits best. I have been busy helping my mum with all the funeral arrangements. It is good to be able to help and my mum and grandad seem to be taking alot of comfort from the idea of a new generation of our family - it is nice to be able to give them that.

Lily - looking forward to seeing you over here :)

Hi ladies, thanks for keeping your fingers crossed for me. The scan went well and everything seemed normal. Baby was moving around and did a headstand when they wanted to measure him/her! Anyways, dated at exactly 15 weeks today so edd has stayed the same. Its been a horrible 2 days but feel reassured now. Hugs and thanks to all x
