Fed up of heartburn now :( gaviscon is rank, rennies are revolting the orange ones aslightly more tolerable. Why cant i find settles fruit flavoured tums anywhere.
Milk works for a shortwhile but i dont like milk managing to keep it down though so thats a bonus.
Coupled with being up and down all night for a trickle of a wee 99 times im exhausted. Keep trying to tire myself out reading in the hope i can sleep longer than 30mins a time but failing miserably - plenty of practise for the all nighters when baby bean arrives.
    23+3 today :)

    Good luck for today Vic.
Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

I can't wait to join this thread. I forget sometimes that I'm not at the same stage as Abis and TTC anymore which is quite upsetting, although I am still very happy to be where I am.

Hopefully see you all in 2 weeks :)

I know what you mean Lily - I still think of myself as being near Amus & Benice etc. I think about the early miscarriage far less than I do the molar pregnancy from last year, but every now and then it just pops up with a reminder that it didn't work out.

I have liked a page on facebook called saying goodbye, which is the same organisation that provides the services to remember children lost in pregnancy and early years (I went to a service in York last year and found it very comforting and helpful). Anyways, yesterday they posted a link to an article about a lady who had a molar pregnancy and that brought back a lot of sad memories. I soooooo wish I hadn't read the comments from keyboard warriors at the bottom of the article tho who said to the lady 'i'm surprised you acted with such grief given that it was clearly not a foetus and it was something she should be very glad to have gotten taken care of.' She also went on to say how she allowed her grief to go too far :mad::mad:

Sorry - didn't mean to rant. Don't suppose I have anywhere else to talk about it with and I know lemonmelon and cleofish will understand a bit more.

It is so totally amazing and lovely being pregnant again and especially now I can feel the baby kick and move. I guess you don't ever forget your lost babies tho

Anyways, back to normal news. I'm going to see my friend this afternoon who is due in 2 weeks and I'm going to paint her bump! Am so excited! It'll be my first 'proper' bump painting (I painted my own with my scan pic to announce it on my facepainting profile page). I must be a bit concerned about doing a good job tho as I had loads of dreams about it last night :rotfl:

Hope everything goes ok today Vic - will be thinking about you.

Whats everyone doing in the inbetween stage of clothing? My normal clothes are too tight (even leggins dig in by the end of the day) but maternity clothes are still too big. I was slimmer when pregnant with DD, so have some maternity clothes in a smaller size than I am, but they too tend to dig in by the end of the day. I bought a pair of new look maternity jeans in my size which seemed to fit fine in the shop, but they are forever falling down when I walk so I keep having to hutch them up. I still weigh a couple of pounds less than when I got pregnant, but I defo have a bump going on now, and lots of 'thickening of the waist' that I kept reading about. I have some stretchy maxi dresses which are comfy, but I don't always want to be in a dress iyswim?

Abis - have you got any maternity leggings? I got some from H&M and they are SO comfy - a little on the loose side still which is nice but v stretchy, so nowhere near falling down. They come right up over the bump which is funny and not v glamorous but they are lovely and comfy and thick enough to be worn with a long top or short dress.

Toothfairy - Hope you are managing to avoid the lovely sunshine and get sorted at home. I have been making a start in trying to clear the spare room (nursery-to-be) but most of it needs selling or donating/binning. I hate the selling / listing of things so I keep putting that off but I have a free weekend this week so really should get a move on with it all :o

Lucifer - Have you seen the docs about your heartburn? I think theres a medicine called omeprazole that is suitable for pregnancy, but it needs prescribing. Obv the doc will know best tho, so would be worthy of a trip if you are struggling.

Poppy - No I don't have any yet. I just bought some jeans for now as I was hoping to get a bundle on ebay to keep costs down, but its starting to annoy me now the lack of clothes I can wear at the moment. Wish I could live in my jamas as they are by far the most comfortable thing I have, lol!

Hello all again. Amazing how one day is soo different from the other.

24+1 today and spent some time at my hospital having baby and myself monitored.

Hadn't felt my normal pattern of movements with baby since Sunday evening. Spent last night watching my tummy desperate to see a movement, hubby even played loud music. I stayed up until 11:30 pm just watching my tummy and then of course didn't sleep much.

Took myself to my Dr's on my way to work this morning (thinking I'd be at work), Dr couldn't feel any movements when pressing on my tummy so sent me through to the hospital we chose to have baby at to have a CTG done.

They monitored baby and it was such a relief to hear the heart beat, they left the machine on for a bit and did the usual checks on me etc. I was amazed my blood pressure was normal, thought it would be sky high with being so nervous.

I have an anterior placenta, so they explained that baby's movements can be cushioned and I might not feel them as strong from one day to the next etc.

Can relax now, have just eaten my lunch and think I'll have a snooze this afternoon.

Omeprazole is fantastic stuff, one tablet a day and no heartburn or acid or anything - I really recommend going to the Drs for a prescription if you're suffering

Thanks for all the good wishes. I'm ok today, no further bleeding. I've followed orders and rested all day. Got a scan tomorrow morning to check everything is ok. X

    Hi all,

Sorry, been lurking for ages, but never posted. I'm 18+4 with my 2nd child. I already have a daughter who is 10. This will be my OH's first baby.

So, with Fathers day coming up, I was wondering if anyone was giving any Dad's to be anything? I have made a little card to give to OH, but that's it. Anyone else? Or am I the only soppy one :o

    Welcome Cheryl!

I did think about it but then I was pg on Mother's Day and oh didn't do anything for me so when I'm in a grumpy mood I think sod him but then if I'm feeling nice I remember that I was only 6/7 weeks so he might not have wanted to jinx it! Anyway I'm still undecided!!
