Hi all, I'm feeling lots better since resolving things at work, only three weeks left as I've a week of hols to take as well! Lovely sunny day here which is helping my good mood lol!

Has anyone been to a music festival while (heavily) pregnant?! Normally my summer consists of loads of festivals, as many as we can fit in and afford! I was all set for missing out this year, but the first one I normally go to is next weekend and I'm really down about it! I'm not gonna go as its a big busy drunken affair normally, but there's a local family orientated one I fancy, but I'll be about 32 weeks by then...am I mad to even consider it?? We wouldn't camp, as its only 20 mins from home. I think the sunshine has gone to my head lol, can someone please talk me out of it!

Thanks for the isofix feedback ladies. MiffyMoo if I'm honest I'm v confused but from what I gather EasyBase is something you secure with the belt and then click the car seat onto? That's the sort of thing I want, i just thought they were all called Isofix! haha! I'll go into mothercare/kiddiecare at somepoint this summer with OH and we'll do some thorough research!

Felt a big kick last night during a film, it literally made me jump and yelp in surprise! OH had his hand on my bump all night but didn't feel a thing. Can't wait til the kicks are big enough to see / feel from the outside so he can join in! Used a doppler though and found a really loud heartbeat so he was happy with that!

Just popping in from the 'big thread' we have just been given an EasyBase from a friend. Isofix refers to the metal thingys burried in the back seats that you can click the base straight into Our car is newish so has isofix points, but this was free so no contest really. The EasyBase only fixes using a seatbelt as miffy says - there is no option for isofix, but it is really easy to belt in anyway and then the carseat just clicks in and out of it. The EasyFix base has the option of isofix or seatbelt anchorage. You just need to check your car to see if it has isofix points or not.

    So:
EasyBase - no isofix, seatbelt only
    EasyFix - isofix or seatbelt

I hope that helps with any confusion. Looking forward to seeing some of you on the next thread up soon! :)

    Thanks MiffyMoo!

Welcome MiniMoo, really nice to see we have a good list going as this thread can be a bit quiet at times compared to the 'big' thread.

bride2b, i think i would go to a more family orientated festival... If there are likely to be kids there then i can't imagine it being too rough. Also, you could just stand further back, away from all the pushing and shoving?

Hi there - I went to a family-orientated festival when I was 8 months pregnant, but stayed in a nearby travellodge as I couldn't face camping! It was fine, I just took it easy and had lots of breaks to drink (decaf) tea etc. Only thing I'd say is be careful of festival food, something I ate made me quite poorly, but otherwise just go with how you're feeling :)

Just adding myself to the list, though will be popping over to the next thread soon. It's flying by.

Mother in law only lasted 1 week before buying more clothes, she popped over yesterday with 2 hats and a cardigan. Also got some outfits on the way from my parents & sister in Australia, can't wait for those as it's from my family so feels a bit more special.

Congrats toothfairy - I'm team blue too!

Quick question....so my midwife told me I would get my MATB1 form at 25 weeks. Is this correct? My midwife only works at my docs one day a week and my next appointment is 25 + 2 days meaning I can't notify work of my intended maternity leave 'NO LATER than 15 weeks' as per their policy.

Midwife told me baby isn't viable until 25 weeks but since it's actually 24 weeks do you think I can badger her to give it to me slightly early without seeing her first! She's on annual leave for 2 weeks so I can't ask her now!
