Thanks, yes after a good nights sleep im feeling alot better! Going back and for hospital can be a pain but least they mean it for the best, and its better than no support. I hope everything goes ok after 20 wks and you can enjoy the pregnancy without having the hospital on your back :)

Oh yes is a pain going backwards and forwards to hospital, especially when OH is at work and has the car and I have DS as well. BUT i would rather do that and know that everything is going ok with this little one :) we've already lost too much to take any risks. I'm sure they'll be sick of the sight of me before I am of them!

OH doesn't like it because he came to every appointment with me when I was pregnant with DS but he cant this time because there have been so many so far.

Cleofish, sorry to hear you've had such a horrible time :-(

It's my dad that's the superstitious one in my family, though I think MIL has been saying stuff to DH too. We have our pram system at home, my dad won't look at it. My sister is getting us a crib, she still stays at home with my parents, and he refuses to bring it up to us until baby is here. But it's just in my dads nature to have something to worry about lol! Don't know what MIL has been saying to DH, but occasionally he'll come out with things like 'maybe we bought the pram too early, in case something happens with baby' - which always coincides with when he has been talking to his mum! She knows better than to say anything to me lol!

23+5 here, so almost time to move upto the main thread (have been doing a bit of lurking there already lol!). Work weren't very happy about me taking my mat leave as early as possible, as they are now going to be short staffed in July. But in their usual style, they haven't said anything to me, they've just been moaning about it to the other two members of staff. 4 weeks to go!!

How many people are having their new pushchair in there house before baby is born?

I think I'll definitely have it before it is born - but maybe not get it until I have 1-2months to go.

I think our plan is that we're going to 'test drive' a load of different types and then look for a second hand travel system that is closest to the model we prefer.

Not going to get any big items before we build a wall to make the baby's room though - then we can cram it all in and shut the door ;)

I didn't know that it was bad luck to have a pushchair in the house before baby is born. That's me stuffed then! Haha I have had mine for ages now. Having said that, I refused to buy anything until I was around 24 weeks but that was for my own benefit and not superstition.

I will be buying new bottles. I'm sure I have read something about not using the teats again, so I guessed that by the time I had bought new teats I may as well just get bottles as well (can usually find them on offer somewhere).

Thank you for the advice everyone, think we will just give it a good clean and descale it and save ourselves the money for something else baby (or DS!) needs.

Thanks for that, I am sure I had read something about not reusing teats too? DH was adamant we were using them again but I really don't fancy it. I will keep an eye out for bottles on offer, I'm not sure what type to go for this time I kinda fancy a change!

How many people are having their new pushchair in there house before baby is born? Dh mum & gran are panicking that we want to buy it before baby is born - we've explained as most things are in a set we need to in order to have a car seat to take her home in...they are adamant we can't take the pushchair into the house - Dh & I aren't superstitious though but thinking for the sake of peace & quiet we might leave it at MIL house until baby arrives, what is everyone else doing? :)

My mum is very superstitious so last time she kept saying 'do not have the pram in your house' so we had it delivered to her. We went there to have a play/ make sure everything was ok/ get used to using it. We had the car seat delivered to ours just incase we needed it sooner. This time I already have my pram in the hallway as up until a few weeks ago my son was using it. If I order the carrycot for it I might ask my mum to keep it at hers.

I am so tired, I was kept awake by a very active belly monster. It still feels quite small but it really knows how to make me feel uncomfortable at night!

I've added the date as per my notes, however the date doesn't tally with how many weeks I was at scan :S
