oh indeed.. and I am thinking of just texting him the scan pic.. while he is out dropping DD1 back home.

Total cop out but he will sit and sulk on his own and it'll be less traumatic in the morning.. maybe?

If you don't think his reaction will be great pigpen, it might be better to let him get some of his strop out on his own, you don't need the stress xx

I agree with Sam, my dad is a serial stropper and sometimes it's easier to just not be around when you give him bad news

I'm not usually into any hippy dippy sort of stuff, but anything that might help with the pregnancy and birth is a bonus so I had a listen to the natal hypnotherapy pregnancy relaxation CD for the first time last night and it was actually pretty good. I did feel really relaxed! Although it didn't result in a better sleep as I had cramp in my leg! Apparently that is pretty common in pregnancy, but that was the first time I have had it! Oooooow! :( Anyone else had this? Any tips on how to prevent it? My calf muscle is killing me today!

Had cramps for a few nights. I did some simple exercises to help, flexing foot up and down 8 times and then circling foot clockwise for 8 and anticlockwise for 8 each leg. Slept with a pillow under my feet and apparently put a potato at the foot of the bed (I didn't do this one as the other two worked and didn't want to look like a loony!)

Thanks for the tips! I think I will try some stretches before bed. Maybe not the potato though....:rotfl:

How did it go with OH Pigpen? Did you send him the scan pic?

Am I supposed to have a meeting with the MW in week 16 with my first? I can't remember what she said when I saw her apart from now really being her patient until 24 weeks. It seems like a long time between the W12 scan and the W20 scan without seeing anyone. I haven't had any blood test results back et either that they took with my scan. I'm sure they said they would write to me with the results as well as my Dr.

    .

I was emptying my bag last night and took out the cotton wool ball from the blood test and he asked what they were testing so I passed him the scan pic and just said 'that'.. He looked horrified briefly then did his stresshead pacing for an hour and asked a few question such as how far on, when is it expected, was I taking the pill properly etc.. which I was.. meticulouslyl! ... he went and fed the cats and hid in the kitchen for a bit.. He came through and hugged me and said he is concerned about lack of money and space.. which I am too..

He seems ok this morning and I wasn't murdered as I slept.. this might not be too bad

I did tell him I have booked one that sleeps :p.. it dragged a smile out of him if nothing else.

I am still considering just putting the scan pic on fb instead of texting my mother and him ringing his.. lol...
