Has anyone started getting OH to talk to bump yet? My hubby always has a little chat to baby when he gets home from work. It almost always results in big kicks - baby must like to hear a male voice as I'm mainly around women all day. It's too cute! He likes to give the bump a kiss too! I just know he is going to be a fantastic Dad! :)

I'm not usually into any hippy dippy sort of stuff, but anything that might help with the pregnancy and birth is a bonus so I had a listen to the natal hypnotherapy pregnancy relaxation CD for the first time last night and it was actually pretty good. I did feel really relaxed! Although it didn't result in a better sleep as I had cramp in my leg! Apparently that is pretty common in pregnancy, but that was the first time I have had it! Oooooow! :( Anyone else had this? Any tips on how to prevent it? My calf muscle is killing me today!

It says to start the birth preparation CD at 32 weeks, but I might start it a bit earlier just in case - if baby did come early I might have only had a couple of weeks to listen to it so I'd rather be prepared a bit earlier.

Hey Lovecake - you must be nearing the next thread soon - how many weeks are you? Its quite quiet on there compared to here :(

I have just bought a set of hypnobirthing CDs secondhand from Amazon (I'm not normally too hippy dippy either!) - haven't tried mine out yet but I did go to a hypnobirthing taster a couple of weeks ago and I liked the theory of it! Of course, sods law that I end up completely the opposite clinging on to the bedrail in agony rather than in clouds of birthing loveliness! What CD did you buy? I bought this for a tenner - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Natal-Hypnotherapy-Programme-Hospital-Centre/dp/1905220537/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362503008&sr=8-1 - reviews look good but haven't tried it yet!

I'll be 23 weeks on Saturday :) I bought the same as you - the set of 4 CDs - pregnancy relaxation, birth preparation (hospital version), post natal and relaxation music. It was the pregnancy relaxation that I tried last night. It was definitely relaxing and by the end I did feel myself going into a sort of hypnotised state (but still aware of everything around me). Let me know how you get on with it! The thing I most want to avoid is panic - I think if I can keep myself calm then I can deal with it. Whenever I watch OBEM it seems to be the ones that go into panic mode and start getting a bit hysterical, crying or screaming etc. that are the ones that then start to have more trouble with the pain. So my plan is to try keep calm and hopefully these CDs will help with that!

Hello all, congrats on the scan pp, what a lovely clear picture. Lovecake my Hubby talks to bump too but so far it hasn't kicked when he does, being lazy like its dad. Although we went to see the script last night and baby went nuts with the loud music! Will be heading over to the other thread tomorrow, as Ill be 24 weeks then. I dunno where the time has went! Hope everyone is well x

Nice scan picture Pigpen. At least you know where you're at now.

I'm finally starting to feel better :j Had a decent nights sleep last night and felt more human at work today.

    Maternity Leave request submitted.

New Look Maternity clothes arrived today. The 3 pack of t-shirts (£12.99) are pretty much good to wear now but not sure they'll see me through to the end. But the 2 for £12 t-shirts I got are huge. Way too big around bust area and can't see them fitting even later, so they are going back.

Had a big sort out of clothes yesterday and think I have enough to wear. But I do feel a bit weird being in maternity tops so soon this time. Think I'm going to brave wearing one for the first time to work tomorrow.

Evening all, I've been so busy lately I've found it hard to catch up on here! 14+1 now. Still feeling very tired but its more acceptable now that people know the reason!! Definitely need to think about some maternity clothes too Gizmodo- struggling to find things that fit!

I have a definite bump but a few people say there isn't one and I don't look pregnant and others say they can definitely tell!! How odd!

Nice scan picture PP, 14 weeks exactly the same as me :)

Love cake- DH kisses my bump every evening and is starting to talk to it- haven't the heart to tell him they don't hear for a few more weeks!!

Lovely pic pigpen! Got my 20 week scan on friday, getting excited now! Lovecake, I keep getting cramp at night, have had a sore calf for days now, not nice to wake up too! It's strange different peoples opinion on bump size, one person will say I'm massive and next says how little and neat it is, glad I'm not the only one to get that kind of comments! Has anyone else started having braxtons yet? Xx

What a gorgeous pic PP! Glad everything went well and there is only one in there.

Gizmodo, I got the 3 for £12.99 pack as well (white, black and grey)

DH hasn't spoken to bump (well, tummy!) yet but youngest is making sure she kisses my tummy before she goes out or goes to bed. She over heard me talking to my sister yesterday about finding out I was pregnant and then taking a horrible chest infection and cold very soon afterwards and how my tummy muscles hate me ever since. She looked at me and said "You knew you were pregnant when you lost your voice? And you didn't tell us until Christmas - thats AGES!!!! But it was the best Christmas present ever!"

I had the leg cramps at night with girls, I found the only thing that eased it was to stand on the cramping leg. However, I got out of bed as fast as I could and usually took quilt with me in my rush, dh was not impressed! Am hoping I don't get it too bad this time - I broke my kneecap 2 years ago and my balance is completely off, if I have to stand on one leg I'm likely to fall over (and I can't bend my knee much now so getting up isn't easy!!!!)
