This still happens most of the time!! Occasionally DH chooses the right moment and the baby kicks, or he is very patient and has to sit there with his hand on my bump for ten minutes!
That happened to us also - until last night! I got OH to say hello through my stomach (he felt a bit stupid I think) - and the baby went into kicking overdrive!!! (I often feel like this when OH talks to me! - haha:)!).
So all those who are wanting the kicks - they will certainly come so don't worry too much.....I didn't feel much until a couple of weeks ago....and now...they make me flinch quite a bit. I scared a couple of friends the other day whilst "doing lunch" - the table we were sitting at nearly went flying! I can even see my stomach moving in the bath!
Hope your baby shower goes well Sparkles!0 -
Hi all, welcome No angel
Glad you are doing well.
The same keeps happening to me kick-wise, I feel loads of wriggles and a few sporadic jabs so everytime it happens when I'm with OH i whip my top up and he puts his hand there then...zilcho!! So Dida I will try getting him to talk!Tho he hasn't been really talkin to the bump so far, but will see if it works! Great you're feeling so much! How many weeks are you now? I lose track!
I have defo popped out now, for weeks it was like nothing-only at night time i looked big but the past couple of weeks I have started to look really preggo! And now I am worried and scared of getting really big!And being so little what if i can't carry round this huge lump!lol

Welcome noangel!
Sparkles - hope you are ok after you fall. How was your baby shower? And are you going to share the gender with us?
mogwai - see you on the other thread next week! (technically tomorrow as I'll be 24 weeks then!)
We had yet another trip to the shops to look at buggies yesterday! We are pretty much decided now on the Babystyle Oyster. In laws have offered to buy a buggy for us, but it's a lot of money so I think we'll ask them just to buy the actual pushchair section (frame and seat) and we'll get the carrycot, colour pack and car seat. I'd get the whole thing second hand :money:, but the in laws wouldn't approve of that... and I won't complain!! Have been looking on ebay and there are a quite a few of the carrycots second hand so we might try and pick one of those up.
I'm starting to get itchy to do some shopping now, but so far managed to resist buying cute clothes etc! On a :money: note I joined the Boots parenting club and got all of my vouchers this week - yesterday I went and bought a pack of Pampers nappies (reduced because of the baby event, and the money off voucher I had) and got the free changing bag. Also got some of the Cussons Mum and Me products which are on half price at the moment in Boots, and I had a money off voucher from the parenting club.
Am feeling so excited today about it all, just want to fast forward the next few months0 -
Hope everyone is having a good one so far?
Hugs for the fall Sparkles, glad nothing serious happened though.
Ugh I am still feeling utterly exhausted. I thought it was meant to fade off after 12 weeks, but I feel permanently drugged!
We took DS to a big softplay place this morning, and by the time we got back I was ready to drop!

Thanks MV - good advice which I should listen to! I'm just so excited!
(Oh, and I can't stop eating either... somebody asked last week if I had any cravings... I said just food in general...)0 -
It is very exciting, and I am too..although as I am still early doors I am trying not to think about it too much!
You'll be amazed at how fast the next few months will fly by!
Also I would recommend you try and have a few nights out with OH before chaos descends! You won't get so many opportunities again for a while!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
This was my bump on Friday. It seems to have gone down again a bit today. I'm sure it's mostly bloat still!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0
