I screamed with my first because I was so frightened. Ex was an idiot, completely unsupportive and I felt very much on my own. Second time was pretty quiet really even though I really was on my own as I laboured too quickly for my husband to get there! Mw was with me obviously :)

It's funny everyone talking about bumps popping out, mine has done the opposite and I'm back to looking 'muffin-toppy' rather than pregnant again, booo!
    Updating soon...
  • Congrats Lovecake, im so jealous of everyone knowing what they are having, my silly hospital wouldn't tell us. 22+0 for me today, crazy! Re gaps in appts, my next one is 3 weeks away, seems ages away but ill get my matb1 at it, cant wait to sort out mat leave!

  • Congrats on team blue lovecake.

I may be slightly biased, but boys are fab :D

Well thats my working week over with, tomorrow my other job as mummy begins ;)

I look really bloated at the moment, I can't tell if it is entirely windy-pops or if maybe some of it is baby..?

I am 14 weeks tomorrow and have been told that after your 1st, bumps pop out more quickly.

I do feel really windy and constipated though (tmi).

Lovely Claree! It's so nice to actually see the baby isn't it?

Does anyone esle have an anterior placenta? Mine in anterior and nice and high so no worries there, but I'm desperate for OH to be able to feel the baby move, but I have a feeling it might be a long while because of the placenta. If anyone else does have the same, can others feel movement yet? Any idea how long it might be?

OH never felt Dot but she was a right lazy dollop and never moved I think I was about 19 weeks when Squeak could be felt from outside.. tbh I don't think anterior/posterior made any difference as to when movement could be felt externally.

Mine is anterior, and I can feel quite a a lot of movement, proper kicks and punches, DH can feel it too - he has been able to for a couple of weeks now (I'm 23+3 today).
  • I had an anterior placenta last time, and it actually stopped me feeling any movement till around 28 weeks..another thing I worried constantly about!

Went into hospital a couple of times to have monitors strapped to me to check all was ok..it was :)

Ooh thanks! I can feel a lot of movement too - but not from the outside. I mainly feel it low down - I'm guessing that's because my placenta is high so it is blocking the higher up movements. I'm 20+5 so maybe soon hubby will be able to feel something...I hope so :)

Thanks MV! It seems as though everyone is different with regards to when they feel movement regardless of where the placenta is. Bubba has been wriggling a lot today! I get the odd boot that makes me jump, but most of the movements are fairly tame :)
