I'm not so much tired any more, but still feel really sick and have a horrid taste in my mouth. I'm 18+2 today and positively not blooming :D

  • i haven't had my scan yet but by my dates i am 12 weeks now so i will post on both this and the less than 12 weeks thread until next week when my scan is :) Anyone start with headaches around the 12 week mark? i read they could be hormone related and should ease after the 1st trimester but i seem to only just have started with them?

I'm utterly exhausted. I slept for 12 hours last night and was still horrified when the alarm went off. Then I fell asleep on the train! I'm 16 weeks now; thought this was all meant to be in the past....

that was my thought too, got to four and half months and I only started to feel somewhat human, but I find now that I can only function properly if I have a really good night sleep, if I am awake for any length of time, I just end up being really tired through the day. Luckly this weekend I have had 3 really good nights sleep and have been fine. Was having a wee chuckle with myself today, spent most of the day on the phones and everytime an irate customer came on the phone, little one started moving, as if to remind me not to get wound up!:p

wow sillysausage, twins...how exciting. Are you going to find out what you're having? You were on the 12month+ thread weren't you? Yeah thats me :) Has it sunk in yet? Yes and No... sometimes I think wow 2...

AFM, I'm 19+2, scan a week tomorrow (EDD 12/2/3) - we must be pretty close? When is your EDD? My official date is 8th Feb, but cos there are 2 it may be 37 weeks.

I'm so nervous about my next scan (I think more so that my 12 week one). I've got a cleft lip & palate and am concerned it might be passed on, also just generally worried about other things that may be wrong! I know its daft and theres nothing I can do about it - doesn't stop me worrying (can you tell I'm a worrier:o) I feel exactly the same, Im so excited about Wednesday but scared one of them may not be ok or there might be something wrong, I think we all feel the same. Good luck with your scan next week xxx

    Welcome binkyboo!

I started with bad headaches around 10 weeks and they did no ease until I was almost 17 weeks. I still get a couple of bad ones a week which seem to be connected to underlying sinus issues which are made worse in pregnancy but majority of them were hormone related. It's rubbish because you can only take paracetamol which to me is useless. I ended up taking some time off work sick as sleeping and resting was the only thing that eased them. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water as we get more dehydrated which can make headaches worse.

They do get better, though I have heard of some ladies who suffer badly all the way through pregnancy.

  • Hello ladies, may I join you? I don't post very often as I have a 16 month old son who keeps me busy but I am 20 weeks pregnant with our second child and had my scan today and so excited about it! We found out we are having another little boy. Have told my mum but now wondering if I should have kept quiet, last time my divorced parents had a massive row when my mum accidentally left slip to my dad what the sex was, and now I'm worried about it happening again. They live 150 miles away so it's not like I can go round and try to keep the peace.
Oh well, I suppose it's done now and mum will be extra careful not to say anything. I'll probably end up blurting it out myself.

    Hope everyone is feeling ok.
  • Hello BigThelma, welcome to the group!

Congrats on team blue. I hope your mum manages to keep quiet, I'm such a blabbermouth, if we found out the sex I'd never be able to keep it quiet, would slip up for sure!

  • Thanks Queen B, I almost said something about 'the boys' to my dad this eveing on the phone but hopefully he would have thought I meant DS and hubby! I think I'm going to find it harder to keep it from him this time though, baby brain is getting to me!
