Re. backache, I started getting it in the middle of my back (on both sides) during the second trimester. I think it's where the ribs start expanding as the lungs are pushed up and out by the growing womb.

It's not until very recently (36 weeks) that I've had backache lower down, i.e. nearly in my botty. Now that my enormous baby is grinding its head down into my pelvis I guess it's pressing on my spine a bit... :D

The 16 week appointment for me was very short - she tested my urine, took my blood pressure and we listened to the heartbeat. That was about it!

Mine too - I thought 'what a lazy cow!' maybe I was a bit harsh :rotfl:
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

I actually came on to say that Argos have got a baby event on now - I got a baby carrier for ten quid, half price.

Hi all I have come over to this thread after being on the other thread and receiving some helpful comforting advice after 2 bleeds.

I went for my dating scan on tues just gone and thought I was nearly 13 weeks but have been put at 14 weeks :0)

I am still bleeding on and off well it's more like spotting than Bleeding, the ultrasound lady said that there is a bleed around the sac but they are not concerned as baby is growing.

I was pleased to see baby jumping about on the screen it was moving so much they nearly could not check the fluid at the back of the neck but we got there in the end.

I am still very nervous but more at easy now I have seen baby moving about happily, I asked if there is anything I should or should not do and was told no just try and take it easy but no limitations and was booked in for my 20 wk scan.

Pleased to hear your bleeding is nothing to worry about fishing, and hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy. How nice to be put forward by a week too.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Thank you sexymouse, it is nice to be put forward by a week I know it's not much but it's one less week I have to go till I can meet my little trouble maker as I call him or her due to the amount of stress he or she is causing me, I already have two a nearly 6 and nearly 7 yr old 51 weeks apart in age and never had any problems like I'm having now when I carried them.

Havent been on here in ages, hope everyone's ok.

I had my 16 week midwife appt today. And we got to hear the heartbeats!!!! It was amazing. She was sure it was 2 different heartbeats we were hearing as they were fairly far apart. I cant wait for the 20wk scan now!

I think I felt movement a couple of days ago as well. Cant really describe it, felt as if one or both of them was turning around / doing a somersault :T

And I honestly cant believe how big I am. The midwife said she wasnt going to measure me as such but when she was examining me she said I will probably measure around 18-20 weeks. Though she did say thats to be expected with twins

Just to let you all know... just walked past our M&S and they have a 50% off sale on. There was no newborn bits and nothing neutral (but there could be in your local one!) but they did have some lovely bits from 3-6 months for quite cheap. If you know what you are having it might be worth raiding the sizes and finding bits to buy and put away :)
