12 to 24 week pregnancy thread

RJH- I struggled to BF with DD so used SMA gold which she got on really well with (went from bottom 3% to top 75% for weight). I too had issues BFing DD and tortured myself about it, this time I'll try again, but if I can't I can't, bubba will be well fed and nurtured and happier with a less stressed mummy.

Was supposed to go to Kiddicare today but weather was too nice so stayed at home and pottered in the garden and did all of my jobs at home so now pooped.

Ordered DDs new bed today so we can move her into that before the bubba comes, think we are going to get her new bedding and curtains, she is obsessed with Disney Princess so will be a big change from a very neutral scheme she has had so far.

i have scan weds and a job interview tues for a job starting in september and baby is due 22nd aug, hmm! let alone nhs parentcraft classes tomorrow - eek. all go this week

Hi everyone,

I didn't realise I was supposed to see MW at 16 weeks, so will be seeing her on Weds at 18+4 - oops

I picked up a little crib at the weekend from a charity shop, gorgeous little wooden swingy one that I'm planning to put next to our bed until baby moves into own room - £7.50 so very pleased with that bargain! Picking it up this afternoon as didn't have the car with me on Saturday.

I've gone from looking a bit 'too many pies' to 'definitely pregnant' almost overnight which is a relief! I've been in maternity clothes for about 6 weeks already, so it's nice to have a proper bump at last.

Just back from the hospital so a quick update,

As some of you know our 13 week scan showed the cord only had 1 artery instead of the normal 2 which can be an indicator for the chromosome abnormalities.

The follow up scan today showed no other problems and my blood indicators were all good, but we opted to have an amnio to give us a clear answer. The results take 2-3 days so will know for sure some time this week,

another waiting game but he was at least able to tell us he is 90% sure its a boy :j im not as disappointed at that as I thought I would be an cried when he told me, which everyone in the room thought was tears of sadness, but it was just a burst of emotion of happiness mixed with a weird kind of relief.

Going to spend the day resting now as whilst the amnio isnt as uncomfortable as the CVS, its still not the nicest thing in the world !

A boy is a wonderful thing. Their toys are much better.
