Rebekah- I have that problem too, I'm weeny (4'11"!) ! I have to alter all of my clothes. I'm finishing officially on mat leave at 37 weeks, depending on cons appt at 28 weeks, but have the equivalent of 7 weeks annual leave to take around then, will try and take some before and after to make the most of time with DD and new bubba

Kittenpie- Thats funny, sorry but it did make me laugh!

Suppose I better get on with some schoolwork.

I had an appointment that was 16 wk and consultant in one. Got there for 10.50 (appointment time) and wasn't seen until after 1pm!!! A LONG DAY. Still, got to hear bubs heartbeat - very cute.
Plus I'm still under midwife led care, but have to go back to the hospital for 20 scan (obviously) and at 28 weeks to check on babies growth. Apparently there is new research that says that this particular hormone in your blood being low is linked to a low birth weight. However, they did stress the research is in it's very early stages and so it's not conclusive at all. The constultant then went on about my low bmi and how that's going to make me have a low birth weight baby in all likelihood anyway. So all the worry was pointless really and it was a long day for nothing.
Still, DH took me out for tea to celebrate all being well and then we went to his brothers for a good old catch up. :)

Hope the morning sickness has past now ladies! Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy, it feels like it drags but as soon as you give birth the time will fly!

i am hoping to work until 2 weeks before my due date, if finances werent an issue then i would definately leave earlier. have decided to have 6 weeks annual leave then take my mat leave - so having 11 months off altogether. not sure how this will feel as i have never had more than 2 weeks off since i started work.

brought pushchair today :) went for baby jogger from kiddicare. glad one big purchase is sorted, next for the cot/bed.

hope everyone is having a good weekend,

    Laura

I worked right up to my due date then she was two weeks late. With this one I'm at Uni until two weeks before my due date. Will be hard trying to treat my patients with bump. I am so flipping huge and only 20 weeks. Baby kicked hard enough yesterday for someone I feel it from outside and has been so active past couple of days. Think it's getting excited for its big screen starring role on Monday :)
love you lots like jelly tots :o
