Thankyou for the tip Laura, Im off to register now :)

Goppers I had to turn on to my side too. Its so sweet how they try to snuggle in and hide away.

See the little heart beating away was wonderful and so reassuring.

Funny to think that the next time we see baby it will be born!
  • Congrats to Charli and Goppers, glad all is well.
My little monkey was very well behaved and all measurements were normal and she say everything looked fine.
I'm going to have a little boy...I'm so excited.
    Hope everybody else is ok

I know this is odd but I don't really have much of a bump, yet in the last few days my waist has disappeared and my belly button has gone really wierd, sort of puckered at the top and it's gone very flat, I'm a bit freaked out by it (bit of a wierd phobia, not sure how I feel about the umbilical cord situation yet either!)

Congrats to you scan ladies, cannot wait for mine, just under two weeks away, am desperate to see LO again!

Congratulations to the ladies who had scans :)

Amymo my tummy button is the same, my middle seems to stretch sideways before it starts going out. I was very glad when DD's cord dropped off after only 2 days, bit unusual but apparently nothing wrong with it. I hated cleaning it as it's sooo manky!

    Morning ladies.

Congrats to the ladies who had scans, pleased to hear all is well. i hope our little monster is behaving for our 20 week scan, it was laid in a stupid position for the 16 week one and we could only get images that showed one or 2 body parts, not a whole baby!!

Thanks for the reassurance about movements, pleased to report that I felt quite a few squirms yesterday and lots today.

I have just posted about belly buttons on the main pg thread, I really hope mine doesn't go to being an outy....they freak me out! Hadn't thought about the umbilical cord thing but now its been mentioned it does sound pretty yukky!!! I believe some people keep the bit that falls off......I can say now that I won't be one of them!!

I might find out today if I am going to get redundancy from work and if so when, I hope they don't want me to finish too soon before baby is due as I think I'll be bored, I don't mind not working once he/she is here as I'm sure I'll be kept busy!
  • Hi Ladies,

Have just given my boss my formal letter stating my maternity plans. I will finish on 13th April, theoretically giving me 12 days till baby arrives and go back full time on 15th October.

My lovely innie belly button is now sticking out further than my tummy :0( I dont like outies!!

i've just been signed off work because of my heart problems :( i will most likely be signed off until i start maternity leave - which is going to be as soon as i can because of the same issues.. so if my calculations are correct..my estimated date to return to work should be around... feb-march 2013

Alizee, you don't have to start your maternity leave as soon as possible (which is 29 weeks). If you have health problem and doctor signs you off work, you can start it at 36 weeks. If you decide to start it later and are off sick DUE TO PREGNANCY RELATED ISSUES then your employer can force you to start maternity leave fro m4 weeks before your due date.

However, if it is something you always had, the doctor might sign you off for that reason and then it is not related to the pregnancy, and you can start your maternity leave on due date. No one can force you to start it earlier if you don't want in this case. vGives you more time 'on the other side'.

the only reason i agreed to taking it as soon as possible is because of SSP - i get company sick pay but this would mean i'd have to be off sick for nearly 20 weeks and company sick pay won't cover that - i have 3 weeks left of company sick pay, after that i get ssp which slashes my wages dramatically, if i go on mat leave i get full pay for so many weeks ( company mat leave) then go on to smp, i'm planning to return part time if i return at all and i would take the full year anyway so say i go back to work every saturday for a few hrs - baby will be 10-11 months by that time so it pays for me to go on mat leave as soon as possible even if just financially, does that make sense? lol

Morning ladies, just posted on the main PG thread about Dorothy perkins, they have their 30% off thing on again. Yesterday was just online but it looks like it is instore today. I'm going shopping tonight so hoping to get a few tops for work.

Alizee, sorry to hear about your problems, its a shame your company sick pay doesn't last longer.
