Snoopy, are you a member of netmums? There was an advert on the section for our area the other week for someone who was selling a nursing chair secondhand for £50. It was in the other town that joins onto your town (check out me and my cryptic clues lol!). Might be worth checking to see if its still for sale. I was very tempted by it but not sure how much I'd use it and the only place I'd have space for it would be in baby's room and it's only a tiny room so I don't want it to get too cluttered.

Why didn't I know about Netmums? Just signed up - I love it! Tthink the chair you mentioned has gone, there is another one but it is in Sleaford, which is a bit far away really!

    I want one! x

Glad everything's going well dizzy blonde :)
Lol, not sharing the cost of the chair, sharing with us how much you paid!!!

It's a Kub Haywood glider and footstool. £176 from Amazon (and other places). It's about £5 cheaper ordering from little known companies on-line. Mothercare also has it for £200. As plus size lady, I wanted something a little more sturdy, so opted to spend a little more than the original £100 budget :rotfl:

Can I ask which brand of bottles people are going for? I've not bought a steriliser yet, as I'm guessing it's supposed to match your brand of bottles? I'm hoping to breastfeed, but guess that I'll need some bottles after the first couple of weeks for expressing and would need to sterilise dummies anyway so would need the steriliser. Any advice ladies? :)

We bought the tommee tippee steriliser twigpig, we got the steriliser, 8 bottles, bottle warmer, 2 insulated bags, tongs, and all the trimmings for £60 when it was on offer in Mothercare. Loads of people have bad things to say about tommee tippee bottles but most people I've spoke to in real life, have used them and had no problems.

If you wanted to go with Dr Brown bottles or similar you'd probably still need to buy a different branded steriliser.

Here is the set we got

Have you tried ebay? It is usually flooded with them!

I will go for the Tommee tippee steriliser and bottles, they are anti colic and BPA free and quite often half price in the supermarkets :)

Anyone know how Charlie is getting on? Not seen her post for a while? xx
  • Our room is the attic so I need to be sure it would go all the way up there!! I thought of just getting a brown leather tub chair as that would be fine to keep after as we wanted one anyway, and being money saving and all that ;)

    Thanks snoopy :)

I have still got my avent one from my DS and just going to use that. Still got a few bottles too, the second size ones so will need some new ones. Can you fit the tommee tippee in the avent steriliser does anyone know, I wouldn't have thought there wouldbe that much size difference would you?

    Thanks for chair help.

I've got the tommee tippee closer to nature bottles and warmer...only went for them because a guy at work was selling the lot unused for £20!!! I'm also hoping to breastfeed but assumed I'd need bottles for expressing and incase it doesnt work out as planned. Will need to get a steriliser now.

The Tommee Tippee steriliser is £23 at the moment from Mothercare Lisa pretty good price I think.
