My moods have been fine so far, though I do find I get a bit teary if I think about the baby (happy teary though) :0)

I have to go to work afterwards but we will take our time getting there. I am lucky that for some reason I dont need a full bladder at the hospital I am going to, just as well as I am constantly going at the moment lol! Are you going to kind out which team you are on x

My first scan was in the morning, was nice going to work and showing the picture around, and surprising people lol.

Yup we will be finding out which team, can understand why people don't - the surprise would be lovely, but I am not good at surprises and am far too impatient to wait. If the little monkey doesn't let us look I will go into panic mode lol - but I am booked in for another scan at 36 weeks. x x

I felt baby move a couple of times about a week and half ago and then nothing till about an hour ago. I think it is perfectly normal at this stage so try not to worry, they will be wiggling loads I am sure x
  • I feel my baby move everyday, about three or four separate "occasions", so I might feel it move at 7am a few times, 11am, 7pm and 11pm. How many weeks are you?

I am almost 21 weeks (on thursday) and have been feeling this for about 5 weeks.

Sorry just seen you are 18 weeks.

If you have been really busy and pre-occupied baby may have moved and you just too busy to tell. I normally notice in a morning in bed, sat at desk at work then early evening and when I get in bed.

happydays - if i hadnt felt baba move for a while id lie down in a quiet room for a while and see if that just relaxing myself would mean a movement would be more felt. at 18weeks it was just fluttering really and squirming - a cold drink/a fizzy drink/sugary drink/chocolate/sweets etc are all reckoned to make baba have a wriggle. Mine definately does after a little bit of cola :)
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

  • Thanks for the advice ladies.
I'm going to go and have a drink of lemonade and lie down for half an hour
    Fingers crossed

happydays, I really wouldn't worry, the doctors don't start taking regular movements into account until your 28 weeks. The best advice I've been given is DON'T COMPARE KICKS to other people, as everyone is different. At 18 weeks, you could go a few days between feeling movements, all depending on where baby is lying, position etc :) xx

Don't panic! Its very normal.. It really does vary person to person how much you feel, and also day to day depending on where the baby is. At 18 weeks some people havent even started to feel, and they are still so so small that you dont notice most movements.

Yeah I work full time unfortunately, I have told them I will be finishing on 23rd March, so the 83 days are only working days, have taken out my holiday, weekends, christmas etc lol - can you tell I am looking forward to it?

Ooh mine won't be much more then as I finish on the 30th March.

Yay, same day as mine :j cant wait, have a nice early appointment - 8am!!

    And Mine's the following day!

    Hhi,

I was 17 weeks yesterday, can't believe how quickly it is all going!

Mine unfortunately isn't until 3:45, gutted as I have to go to work in the morning lol. The whole full bladder thing should be fun too lol.

I am either crying, stressing or angry, poor hubby pmsl x x x x

I don't think you need to worry about the full bladder thing. Mine wasn't particularly full yesterday and they managed fine. Apparently the full bladder is only needed for the 12 week scan as the uterus is still within the pelvis and having a full bladder pushes it up high enough so they can see evrything properly. By 20 weeks everything is bigger and has moved up anyway.
