I LOVE the I-Candy systems Alizee, I had a look at one in John Lewis on Saturday, no wonder they dont advertise the price on line, blimey!!!! Much as I love it and our travel system/pram is being bought for us I just couldn't justify spending that much. I think we will go for the Silver Cross Surf.

I had a fairly sucessful shopping trip for maternity stuff, got 2 non-underwired bras from Debenhams which were ok looks wise and very comfy, and only £20 for the 2, 1 pair of black trousers from New Look for £11.99, 2 pairs in the Topshop sales reduced to £10 each!! and 2 pairs of the most comforable jeans ever from Next. A bit more pricey at £28 each but worth the money.

I did have a look on line at the Hotmilk stuff and it looks really nice but its so expensive! I might get some in a few months time when I am less likely to keep growing. A little tip though, they sell the Hotmilk and lots of other nice maternity and nursing bras online at Figleaves, and you can exchange your clubcard vouchers for double the value to spend there :0)

Anyway, thats enough of my waffling on, hope you all had lovely weekends xx

Teething rails.....what are they and what do they do? Obviously something to do with teething lol but what exactly?!

I think they are plastic covers that go over the top of the rails of the cot, i think its to prevent damage and baby gnawing on the cot rails doing themselves damage also.

Hi all!! Going to be 18 weeks this week, my has it gone quick!! :j:j Still no sign of bump i dont think, i've already got a bit of a belly pre-pregnancy so it's really hard to tell if its a bump or fat!! lol

Boobs still not grown and i'm still in my normal bras but bit unsure of whether i sohuld go for the non wired ones as i read on here we shouldn't be wearing them??

I have booked my NHS antenatal classes in Feb, looking fwd to it :)
Will decide after those classes if we should go for the NCT ones in my area but at £120, it's really putting me off but i was hoping to make some friends as I don't have many (I moved up to manchester a copule of years ago for DH and still not made many here yet!!).

Anyway hope all is well, only 3 weeks until my scan! :D

Yep, as goppers said, they're plastic covers that go over the side panels and I believe that mosts cots do come with them. I'm not so bothered about the cot looking chewed, but I thought that it's not the best for baby to be chewing on the wood :rotfl:

Me too. Both of our friends who have had kids over the last year or so highly recommended the NCT classes and we can do the classes over 3 Saturdays which suits us much better. I'm also hoping that I can make 1 or 2 friends for the occasional coffee or to take the babies out swimming or something....... Hubby said he's a bit worried about me being on my own when he goes back to work. I've never minded being on my own before and have very few friends to be honest, but I guess he knows that being home with the baby all day, I might need the adult company more than I would have done before. I guess he's right....... :)

    Hi Goppers,
Sounds like we might live quite near each other and I've also noticed out scan dates are the same and our EDD is only 2 days difference. Now that's a coincidence!!

Hope everyone else is having a good day
