.......One shop wanted £395 for a bog standard LBD

You have to be joking! I need something for a xmas party/christening and xmas day if I can get something to fit all 3. I was plus size before pregnancy so finding anything is so hard and I'm not spending too much on something that will only be worn a few times. Today, I have a pair of non maternity next jeans I wore pre pregnancy, although they were loose before as I had lost a little weight. Just as well really, or I'd have had nothing to fit me from weeks and weeks ago.

Working from home again tomorrow, so it will be elasticated waist day again :D

Has anyone bought any maternity clothes for the party season yet? i'm looking for a (CHEAP!) party dress for mine and my husband's work do's and i'm not having any luck at all :(

I have a fairly lose fitting non-maternity dress that i'm hoping will still fit. its one that gathers up and you tie a belt around the waist so fingers crossed it will do!! i have a wedding to go to 9 days after my due date so i'll either be huuuuuuuge and overdue or still needing a maternity outfit as i doubt I'll be back to normal very quick!!

So 3 weeks on from the quad test/blood test and Ive heard nothing at all.

That can only be good news then! take it from someone who knows...they are very quick to let you know if you're high risk.

unfortunately i live in a small town in devon and the choice on the high street is mothercare (they have approx. 1 metre on a wall of maternity clothes) or a very expensive maternity boutique.

i had a look at asos but i'm a size 18 pre-pregnancy and all their maternity clothes stop at 16, not sure if i want to risk it :(

Our mothercare stocks 2 pairs of maternity trousers and thats it!! not even a single top!! I'd be tempted to give ASOS a try, their sizes seem to be pretty generous and if things don't fit they do that collect+ thing for free
  • Morning Ladies,

Wow things are moving on very fast for us all! I will have my 20 week scan 5 weeks today!! I kind of wish time would slow down a bit to allow me to save some money  This will be the last child free Christmas we will have (god willing) That just seems so strange, but also makes Christmas and family time all the more special.

Next and DP do some gorgeous maternity bits. If any of you dont already have a next account if I send you a recommend a friend it will get us both £20 credit :0) PM me if you are interested.

I think I will go for this for my work Christmas Party http://www.next.co.uk/g472170s4 I will probably only need to wear it the once but maternity stuff sells well on Ebay so I am not too fussed about the initial outlay.

I was just thinking it is a shame this thread isn't local, you are all such a lovely bunch and it would have been great to meet up once our little bundles arrive :)

I second Dorothy Perkins, I have ordereed a cerise dress with a ties under the boobs so I can yank it in if I need to.

I'll be wearing at Christmas for mine and DH Christmas Do's and I shall probably wear it to my friends wedding which is 2 weeks after my due date - I'm another one that could still be pregnant and huge or a new mummy and huge :rotfl:

    Hi

My daughter is now 24 weeks pregnant. I have found a place that do the 3D and 4D scans. For £80 you get a 15 minute bonding scan. 2 colour photos and 2 black and white photos. It is £50 extra for a DVD or CD Rom. So that would be £130. is this reasonable?

    This is the package
