Has anyone bought any maternity clothes for the party season yet? i'm looking for a (CHEAP!) party dress for mine and my husband's work do's and i'm not having any luck at all :(

I bought 3 dresses from asos and had to send them all back, they looked terrible and I bought size 12s which is what I was prepregnancy and they were like tents!

I've got a ball to go to in 2 weeks, Christmas and a wedding!!

Would love to hear if there are any decent shops, I think high street might be best so I can actually try stuff on
    Got married 13/11/10 :)

unfortunately i live in a small town in devon and the choice on the high street is mothercare (they have approx. 1 metre on a wall of maternity clothes) or a very expensive maternity boutique.

i had a look at asos but i'm a size 18 pre-pregnancy and all their maternity clothes stop at 16, not sure if i want to risk it :(

The first 12 weeks dragged Gilly!I found out really early to. And up til the booking in and then the scan it dragged, a little scare on holiday added to the waiting.
Remember getting the date for 20week scan after 12week scan (actually at 13 weeks) and thinking pah thats agggggges away. Now its right here no idea where the 6weeks have gone

Wish Id started a pregnancy diary early on because the days are flying by at an alarming rate

So 3 weeks on from the quad test/blood test and Ive heard nothing at all.

Definitely, I'm 26 weeks this week and I can't believe I've basically been through 65% of it already. 14 weeks is just a tiny bit scary for me.

Good Luck for your scan, in a way I wish I could go back to then, it was so exciting, and I feel sad I won't see my wee baby now until he's here!

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

How about Dorothy Perkins? They have loads of stuff online and they go to a 20 I think, they're stuff has been quite roomy on me also, and I'm not a skinny minny :)

Agree with Phunkles on the Next Maternity jeans, it's like wearing jammas, although now I'm getting a bit bigger, they're not as comfortable as they once were.

13 and a half really, and with Christmas & NY taking up a week  I'm all over the place with it though, sometimes I'm all calm and think yes let time fly, I want to meet my son and then at other times I'm freaking out crazy, like I'm just not ready, but then I guess noone really is :o

Alizee I would consider asos if I were you, I bought 12s and seriously they were huge, I don't think they'll fit when I'm full term let alone now when I'm half way. No harm in trying, spend over £100 and delivery is free and returns are also free through the post office or collect+.

I've just searched on the net and I swear they think pregnant people are made of money, the prices are unbelieveable. One shop wanted £395 for a bog standard LBD

I think I'm gonna have to brave the town centre on the weekend as MIL is having a charity ball on the 18th.

i really like the look of this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Fashion-Womens-Formal-Gown-Evening-Party-Bridesmaid-Elegant-Long-Dress-8Size-/270835761323?pt=UK_Women_s_Dresses&var=&hash=item84b8eebb23#ht_5900wt_952

it's quite pricey for my budget though and i'm a bit wary of ordering from china as i know it can take a long time to arrive...

I will have a look on asos. the thing is my husband's work do is formal but party-ish. mine is full own gown kind of event!
