Darkphaery- having already had 3 DDs, everyone just assumes this baby was a try for a boy, they did when i had DD3 too, some people just cant accept that we were happy with 3 girls, i for 1 love it! With this baby, we were kinda resigned to the fact that we`d only ever have girls, and DH was fine about it :rotfl: I really wanted another girl, for selfish reasons, just be easier etc! We paid for a gender scan, purely because we wanted to know! We didnt care what people think. Altho Dh is of course over the moon he is having his boy, esp with family circumstances atm. This baby seems to mean alot to everyone since BIL passed away last weekend xxx
Thanks so much for that
I'm sorry your family are having a tough time at the minute but hopefully your little boy can bring back some sunshinex

Oh, drumstick lollies, I have them in the halloween bowl of sweets for Monday, but I must admit, I have already ate one of them :rotfl: (oh and maybe one of the twirls.... sssshhh)
I think that my thing is jaffa cakes. I've always got those little mini packs that have 6 little ones and I've had these in the house since my BFP. I always liked jaffa cakes but never always had them in the house.
I also went through a bread/cheese toastie phase and then also a crisps/crisp sandwiches phase. Not sure what I'm into at the moment...... :rotfl:
OH, I still try to have a KFC once most weeks, nom nom nomTTC #3..........0 -
Hello lovely ladies and lovely bumps!
I'm new to the forum (hello!) and am 22 weeks, 4 days pregnantIt's my first pregnancy and am very excited!! We found out last week that it's a little girl, but for the moment she's still called Speck...
Haven't had any specific cravings yet (am I weird?) other than for food in general. Woke up at 5am absolutely ravenous and had to get up to make toast. Does anyone else find that they can't eat big meals anymore?? I used to really be able to put away the grub but now I get halfway through a plate of food and that's me done! Mind you, I'm having 12-15 small meals a day to compensate!0 -

Hi Phoenix
I'm like this. I just can't manage what i would class a 'normal' plate of food. Even other people notice, i'm usually a big sunday dinner lover but i just can't get through half a plate of food anymore, still at least it's saving me a few pence0 -

I have been thinking that if the government dont change the rules in April, as I can only afford to take 6 months off work I could let the OH have the remainder of my maternity leave. Would this mean he would get the same rate of £128 and does anyone know if he then didnt return to work, or worked only a couple fo days a week would he have to then pay it back? Its all so confusing!!0 -

For either parent, you are either on mat/pat leave or not- so if your OH went on pat leave instead of you on mat leave, he couldnt just work a couple of days, he would have to be off properly. Statutory pay for him is at SMP rate as long as he is eligible (time at his company), unless his company offered anything higher as company policy. Usually, if he was on SMP only, he wouldnt have to pay anything back if he left instead of going back to work. If his company offered a higher rate/enhanced package, then thats when there is more likely to be a pay back. He really needs to check his company policy though. Have a look at these.

Ive had bad morning sickness till 22 weeks, which has started to improve in the last 4 weeks. I usually love mushrooms but find them revolting when pregnant, other than that I've eaten mostly normal food apart from sweets. Sweets seem to be the only thing I didnt throw up.
I wouldn't worry about what other people think about your 'healthy diet' I'm sure we all do the best we can with what we can eat! Unfortunatly my craving is for frozen margarita's, so I'm not going to give into it, but I do intend to have a glass or two when the baby is born. M&S have a new vigin mojito juice that I've been trying as a substitute, doesn't this make me sound like an alcoholic? (I probably had 2 units a month before my BFP):ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do
