My best friend is going to throw me a baby shower - bless her shes even started designing invitations already!
Good luck with the scan Lola
I cant wait for my 20 week scan as the 12 week wasnt really very clear.
Laura Im a bit overwhelmed by what I do and dont need to buy to be honest! I have decided to get the check list from the mothercare catalogue and then get my Mum and Best friend to tell me what we really need. Money is quite tight for us too, and I really need to change my car before the baby comes (I have a 2 seater cabriolet - so practical!! hehe!) so hubby and I need to arrange a budget for it all.
I ve started getting all the free nappy starter packs and money off vouchers to stock pile nappies and wipes so hopefully that will help.
We are going to stay team yellow so hopefully not knowing will stop me going too mad with the shopping! At least until after Pip arrives anyway!0 -
Hi All
Not been around for a few days, after feeling very ill I booked a doctors appt and he sent me straight to hospital. I was admitted on Monday night and spent 24 hours on an IV. apparently my ketone levels were at max level. Luckily the drip helped and I came home last night.
They have given me some anti-sickness tablets as the sickness was making me not retain anything.
Anyways home now and just chilling
Hoping next time I see a hospital bed is when we get to meet Pip in 26weeks timeTwenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. aww glimmer I'd been wondering if you were ok. Sorry to hear you've been so I'll but like you say, hopefully they'll have got you sorted now and no more hospitals till due date time!
I'm soooo bored, have ended up back working days instead of shifts but have been put on project work and its the most boring thing ever!! I'd never have agreed to it normally, only did now as I know its safer for the little squirt and that the most I'll be doing it for is 5 months!!!!
My hips are aching today, stood up for about 10 mins and had to sit down to ease them. They were aching in bed alot over the weekend too, hope its not the start of problems!!!0 -
Hi glimmer, so sorry to hear you have been feeling poorly. I hope you stay well until due date now. We call our little one Pip too
Lisa my hips have been hurting on and off for a couple of weeks now. Mostly when I have been standing up or walking for a long time. I wasnt expecting joint pains so early in pregnancy so am a bit surprised. I meant to ask the midwife about it last week but forgot. On the plus side, its not all the time and doesn't seem to be getting any worse - touch wood!0 -
glimmer - sorry you were in the hospita;. Glad that you're home now and feeling a bit better
No baby shower planned for little twig...... Like Lisa, I pretty much organised my hen do too :rotfl:
Oh, jam on toast, with some peanut butter, now you're talkingTTC #3..........0 -

I am going on Friday, mob-handed too - the WHOLE family sis coming along for the outing - Moi, DH, Mum, MIL, FIL and sister
We're going mainly to look at what's available and for the parents to tell us what is needed and what really isn't needed! I also want to look at washable nappies and see for myself how they work etc.Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Sorry to hear you haven't been well Glimmer, I hope that things are on the up for your now xx
I have no idea if I will have a baby shower, I haven't discussed it with anyone but I guess its a bit early.
I bought some more baby clothing and got told off by OH :0( I'm not allowed to buy anymore yet but I dont need to now as I think we have everything we will need for the first few days and I'm sure people will buy the baby outfits. He is such a kill-joy lol! Only joking, he is a huge worrier and will never stop worrying about baby, even when they arrive. Its a shame, I really want him to allow himself to get excited :0(
I did think about going to the Baby Show but I would probably end up buying loads, especially with my Mum encouraging me! so going to give it a miss. I probably wont buy anything else until after the 20 week scan early december.0
