Thanks Lisa, just had a look and the closest one to me is in Cambridge so not really any good. I'll probably drag the OH to the free one in the village early next year.

I started feeling better last week Laura. Im 15 + 2 now. I wouldnt say I am glowing! But definitely feeling much more like myself.

The only thing I do get now is pain in my hips if I am standing up for too long.
  • Good afternoon ladies. Congrats on v day kezza and welcome lovecrafting.

Lisa you are so lucky I wish my DH would get his finger out and get some housework done, although if he did I would probably only moan that he wasn't doing it properly :rotfl::rotfl:

I've not thought about antenatal classes yet i am 21 weeks and my next mw appointment is not until 23 weeks, how do I go about booking them or should I wait to see mw?

Had a couple of days fretting as I had not felt my bump move but after a healthy breakfast this morning i felt a few kicks again which have put me at ease. Oh how the mind runs wild when preggers!!!

Hopefully I'll get there soon :o

What things are you all buying for baby now/in next few months? I have only bought a few neutral items of clothing so far. I know my Mum wants to buy the travel system (looking at the Silver Cross Surf or Quinney buzz 3) and OH's Mum is going to get our cot but I dont know what other bits to get. Is anyone getting a chaning station or are you just going to use a mat on the floor? I think I'll probably just do it on the floor. So difficult to know what bits we are actually going to need, and also I am sure other family and friend will buy/donate stuff. As things are tight I dont want to end up buying a load of stuff we will never use.

I picked up a load of Mama Mio nappies on freecycle, they look like new. Not sure how keen I am on the idea of reusable ones but as they are expensive I thought they would be worth a shot. If I dont end up using them I'll just stick them back on freecycle.

I will be trying breast feeding but will probably buy a pump too as they come with storage bags and bottles. That way if I struggle I can bottle feed too - and let the OH have a go)

I guess as long as we have the basics anything else we need/want can wait till baby comes

I plan to start buying things in dribs and drabs now and spread it out over the next few months so we don't have it all to do at once. MIL is buying our pram and I'm sure my mum will want to get us something too. I'd quite like a changing station but the room we'll be using for our nursery is only small so I need to decide if I want that or a nursing chair as I doubt there'll be room for both. I'm hoping to breastfeed so won't be buying much feeding stuff. If breastfeeding works out ok then I'll buy a pump so I'll probably buy a few bottles when I see a good offer as no doubt I'll end up using them whether I breast or formula feed. I'll have to be fairly sensible about what I buy as we have no storage space in our house!!

Morning Lisa haha! Very quiet hey!
I'm busy having my strawberry jam toast for brekkie. I stopped eating jam for some reason as i've got older, but now i'm loving it again. Yummy!

Is anyone having baby showers that they know of? My best friend is throwing one for me :)
