Oh emmylou how terrible. I assume its something thats happened suddenly. I'm sure baby will be fine, they're made of pretty tough stuff and you're far enough along now for there to be less risk. Its going to be a difficult time for you and we're here if you need a chat xxx

I've been in to town today, really wanted to buy something for baby now we know things are going ok but I couldn't find a single thing!! It would appear that you are meant to only have a baby that you know the sex of these days! Theres hardly and unisex stuff and what there is is either boring or a bit boyish!! I also wanted to get some maternity jeans as my normal ones are getting a bit uncomfortable now. I don't really have much of a bump yet but I don't want to buy bigger normal jeans for a few weeks wear. ANyway, I couldn't find any of those either. the only shop that had any maternity clothes at all was new look and they didn't have any jeans in my size :-( so I came home and had a sulk instead!! I'm going to have to travel miles everytime I want to buy something for me or baby it would appear.....great!!!

Thanks ladies, we have to wait for the post mortem next week before we know anything. He went in his sleep, It could have been his heart, as he had a leaky valve, or a clot. The coroner seemed to think it may have been cancer though?
Lisa, I`ve had 2 babies and not known the sex, unisex clothing is pants! And to top it off, once its born, u get so much gender specific clothing brought for you, most of the neutral stuff doesnt get worn! If I hadnt found out this time, i had decided we were going to buy only plain white vests and sleepsuits, with a few cream cardis. Enough to last until I`d be up for a shopping trip :) xx

Lisa - we dont have plans to find out the gender - so far weve got an I love mummy and an I love daddy gender neutral baby grows from next £6 each and a multicoloured star baby grow from Morrisons which came with a giraffe bib £5 I love giraffes.
Weve got 3 newborn white sleep suits and 3 0-3white sleep suits which will hopefully be all we need to get us through hospital and birth and then can buy gender stuff, weve got 7 plain white 0-3 vests, 7 m&s white with slogans on 0-3 and 7 newborn white vests (asda) and thats all were getting. Vests well use white anyway cause well its under clothing.

Thank u everyone xx selfishly i think i`m finding it harder as its 10 yrs on Halloween since my Mum died, so its a hard week anyway, now I expect the funeral for BIL will be that week. He has left 4 young children too. I sometimes wonder why i`m bringing another child into a world of hurt and pain?
Baby is happy enough tho, he has been kicking away most of the day, which is very reassuring :) am thinking his name may now have been decided for us xx

i saw the next ones and I might get them at some point. the morrisons one sounds fab, I love giraffes too. Unfortunately our morrisons doesn't stock any baby clothes but I might have to try the one near work.

The trouble is, I like new babies in white so will want neutral stuff for a while even once he/she is here and we know the sex. I guess I'll have to give in and have as neutral as poss with just a bit of pink or blue!

Went online tonight and showed MIl the prams I like the look of (have only looked online not in the shops so far) and she agrees that the dearest one is nicest! She is buying it but I've said I'm happy to put some towards it if we go for that one as its nearly £700 :eek: I have such expensive taste!!!

We paid £695 for ours Lisa, but we got the carry cot, pushchair and the car seat for that. I LOVE it, so hopefully will use it for as long as possible and maybe (that's a teeny maybe) use it for the next one :o
