    Morning all

Emsbet hope all's ok with you!

Well i finally rang the out of hours GP at half 6 sunday morning. He asked me to go to the hospital just to get checked over, wanted my BP and chest listend to. Got there and was in 1 minute, didn't do any of hte checks the Dr on the phone asked for and send me off with a prescription for a small bottle of gaviscon. Took it 4 times yesterday and it does seem to have helped although at some points during the day i could feel the pain in my jaw and arms coming back. Managed to get a much better sleep last night.

At the midwife on Wedesday, this is technically for my 16 week check but couldn't get the appointment until 18+2 (despite ringing at 12+4) so hoping i get to hear bean's heartbeat.

Had my 16 week bloods done at the hospital (as i couln't get midwife appointment) and they said results would be in last Wed or today so hoping if i hear nothing today bean has a low risk of downs and spina bifida, all fingers and toes crossed.

Hope everyone is well and bumps are coming along nicely :)

emsbet, when i bled the 20 week scan showed bleed wasn't actually from baby or anything connected to baby and was from somewhere else which wouldn't affect baby, hope it is the same for u xxxxxxxxx

Thanks for the reassurance. When I had the bleed a week and half/two weeks ago they couldn't find any cause on the scan. I've had some brown blood/tinged CM this morning but fortunately no red. I think I just have a sensitive cervix (at least I hope that's it). :o
Had a panic that my tummy looks smaller today but I think that's more to do with the fact that I haven't eaten a proper meal since lunch yesterday.

    xx

Hi Emsbet, hope everything goes OK. Hope you feel better soon too Darkphaery! Hugs to both of you!

I had a really productive weekend, as well as almost finishing the decorating I had a big sort-out, got a large bag of stuff for the charity shop, listed some bits on ebay, and some bits on freecycle. Even managed to get DH to list 5 ebay items! I burst into tears after he snapped at me on Saturday for talking to him while he was cutting the wallpaper to fit around the socket, and he spent all of Saturday apologising and feeling really guilty. It must be the hormones, I'm normally quite used to him being grumpy :)

Thanks for this, it has relaxed me a bit.
I think I was upset more as they didn't want to see me at the hospital. Which is daft as that obviously means that they aren't worried so I shouldn't but I didn't feel particularly reassured by the midwife I spoke to. I'm just going to try not to worry and see how it all goes.

darkfaery - hospital also wrote to me with result. They said if risk was high, that I would hear in a few days otherwise a letter would come out approx a week later. Think it was about 2 weeks before it arrived for us.

Lucy - I'm under consultant care for high bmi, so not quite the same. I do get an extra scan but that is as a direct result of being overweight, rather than me being under consultant care. Not sure my reply helps, but didn't want to not answer you :rotfl: Hope they get your bloods done today.

emsbet - Do try to eat something. Try not to worry as it won't be good for you. If you're still not happy with the midwife, then just ring back and tell them what a state you're getting into and you need some re-assurance. Take some comfort that no new blood is there today and that you're not getting cramps and pain. That can only be a good thing :)
