toniq - Hope your knee gets better soon. At least hubby offering massages :)

Lucy - Just think of giving blood as one of the easier things to come over the next few months :o

Oh, I checked the chinese prediction thing too, along with 2 other ones mentioned on Baby and Bump. 1 said boy and 2 said girl, lol. We're staying team yellow anyway :rotfl:

I think it was on the big thread (where I'm lurking until after tomorrow, lol) that they mentioned that mothercare has a special event on next week (between 2nd & 9th Oct). You need to pop down before the day to pick up a card from the till (invite). There'll be a goody bag for the mums and the cashier said yesterday, some money off for people buying anything on the night. Thought it would be worth a nosey, as we've still not bought anything yet, and might get something worth having in the goody bag ;).

Mozzy, if you're interested at all, Tesco have loads of baby stuff online at the moment, and it's either in the sale or 20% off the marked price, you can get it delivered free to a local store too. I ordered a good few things last night and it only came to £20 odd.

  • Does anyone else find sitting really uncomfortable at the mo I'm 19 weeks and when I sit at mydesk at work I get a pain in my groin area really low down, so much so that after a while I have to get up and move about, it leaves an ache like a period pain.

I've got a decent chair and do try and sit properly but nothing helps :(

    Morning Girlies,

Great news on the scans and pictures, so cute!! I am still trying to remain team yellow all the way and will be telling DH to remind me we agreed yellow when we go in for the 20 week scan in about 3 weeks.

I went into Tesco last night to pick up some Night Nurse for DH - I think he has picked up a lurgy from the plane. He's OK (ish) but definitely under the weather :(

Anyway, I went past the baby clothing section .... and spent £15 on bibs, sleep suits, t-shirts and scratch mitts. Most were in the sale and I made sure they are all gender non-specific :D

I want to go to a BIG Tesco or Asda now to see what else I can find. Perhaps I will take a trip to Watford the weekend after next when DH is at work ;)

I am clearly on the way to being a Mummy - I don't want to buy things for me anymore, I want to buy cute things for Elvis!

    Icey x

Thanks! I think i've done my load for this month haha. We moving on Saturday (to rent a 2 bedroom place), so alot of money is going on that. Plus i've bought some more Maternity tops (pack of 3 long sleeve ones from New Look) and a lovely Maternity winter coat (£45). Off ebay yesterday I got 2 snowsuits and 1 bundle of 12 items of baby boy clothes, and one bundle of 5 items of baby boy clothes. Oh, and its one of my friends boys birthday soon, so I got him a little outfit in the Debenhams sale, and to make the free delivery, bought 3 baby boy bodysuits from there for £6.50. Hubby said that's enough for now haha.

Definitely! I'm not comfy at all. And my job is 100% sat behind a computer for 8 hours a day.

Bonus though, (i'm the only girl in my office) and I have noticed that the guys are starting to offer to do things for me and run things upstairs etc. So thinking my manager has had a word with them when i've been away at some point :D

  • Hope you're all having a good day. Another busy day for me today, I prefer sitting to standing I think. Been stood up for an hour supervising a practical session with students and my bump is aching a bit now! Still, I'll be sat down all afternoon so that'll give me time to recover before I walk home.

Here's my scan pic from last week :)

Urgh just as I expected. Waiting around for over an hour, midwife running late. Took 2 attempts at getting blood,no good as I have shy veins. Got to go back to the practice nurse on Monday. Got to listen to the baby properly which of course was lovely,so not all bad. My god it's too hot today:eek:
