Hello All :j
Twigpig - I am being given a pram & pushchair from my ex-boss so feel sympathy for you having to wade through all that choice!!!!!
I can remember spending one afternoon looking at them in the Argos catalogue and breaking out into a cold sweat :eek: and was so grateful when offered secondhand ones!!!
Welcome Sammie - I will be 22 wks tomorrow and found that the tiredness went away by 2nd trimester its just the getting up to wee that sometimes makes me tired. Early on I think I spent more time in bed than actually upright :rotfl::rotfl:but it does pass. Please dont tell me it will come back later!!!!!!
Boden - I received a £10 off voucher code & free del & returns code plus up to £20 off if spend £100 in the post (cant share as specific to me) but if you get one then have a look at the baby stuff I hopefully have ordered a £12 baby top with free del for £2, hope it has worked ok!!!!!!!!!! I ordered a green stripey top with a little dog on it
I have first appointment with consultant tomorrow (referred for high bmi) hope they are nice to me :eek: they want me to go with a full bladder me thinks fat chance so am going to take a sample just in case I cant perform :rotfl:
Anyone feeling that their belly button is heading rapidly towards their knees????:eek::eek::eek: I cant turn over quickly in bed now as I need to make sure my tummy follows :rotfl:and its all so bloody uncomfortable.
Take care

I'm 21 weeks now and not really as tired as I was in the earlier weeks, but am still perfectly happy to go to bed at 9pm! Am totally going to milk it for the next 19 weeks, and go to bed as early as possible!
Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow Ro. I wouldn't say my belly button is heading south but I'm definitely getting more aware of it, especially when trying to turn over in bed!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -

..... Thanks 4nnabella.
Re going to bed at 9pm I consider it normal to bed upstairs early as I am pathetic and cant do late nights, when I was in tired mode I was going up before 6!!!!!! now its usually around 8pm :rotfl:so normal for me !!!!! Usually hubby comes up to find me half asleep surrounded by a mountain of pillows which he has to move before he can get in
I think its the extra padding which is assisting my belly button on its downward dive
Another thing I have noticed is my 'nips' (sorry I know its before the watershed!!) they are much darker as expected but they appear to be loosening at the tips ie can see pink skin :eek: its all a bit freaky...

Welcome Sammie
I'm now 17 weeks and still being sick most days, and the nausea is horrendous, luckily not hospital says since week 8 so it has improved but I'm still shattered all the time. My OH jokes that I'm the most miserable pregnant woman ever and he's probably not wrong. Our social life is practically zero at the mo as my only interest is sleeping and I can't go out to eat so no nice meals for us.
As for prams I've got my heart set on the silver cross 3d, I like that it folds down umberalla style and I think it will last me longer and I'm trying to be practical this time around and buy things that will last me unlike the first 2 times when I just got caught up in the moment and ended up with lots of things that I don't need.
I'm hoping to get up in the loft before I get too big and see if any of the DS or DD bits will be any good for the new baby, as it will all be 14 years old it may be classed as vintage now :rotfl:Marrying the man of my dreams30th November 2012 :jLittle Stig due22nd February 20122012 is going to be an awesome year!!!0 -
Thank you so much for replying about pushchairs - hubby and I were out test driving some again today. I still like the bugaboo and maybe the bugaboo bee. I think I'm moving away from the pliko, as I think I'd like a bar handle instead of 2 individual handles. Couldn't find the Oyster where we were today, so I might need to make a 3rd trip back to our massive Mothercare as I know they had them there along with the Bugaboo (though they didn't have the carrycot to go with it........ So much choice! argh!
Ro - I know what you mean about rolling over in. I'm also finding it difficult to make sure my tummy moves with me :rotfl:

Hi Ladies,
Hope all are ok and bumps of course! I've not been on for a few days so have to read back to catch up. Work has been mad busy which is making the time fly by. I had a letter this morning saying I'm being sent to see a Consultant as my BMI is to low and the midwife wasn't happy at my 16 week app. I'm hoping this is just routine as I have started to put my weight on now and I'm trying to eat hearty meals and snack little and often. I do find it hard to eat a lot, I've never been a big eater and don't really love my food (if you know what I mean!) So maybe some advice from the Consultant will be useful, plus I will do anything to help my baby along!
I'm 19 weeks now and think I've started to feel movement, nothing definite, but feelings that I've never had before! My stomach has popped out the last week and everybody at work knows and make comments, they have all been really lovely and a couple of ladies have started knitting for me!
I've got my scan a week on Moday so that's the next big thing. Had a big splurge the other night on Boots and bought my moses basket, bouncy chair, play pat and nappies, I got the 3 for 2 offer so made some good savings.
Anyway, time to read back and see what I've missed!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Morning everyone
Had an annoying day yesterday - courier didn't arrive to take my ebay sold item to Germany, and a manufacturer refused to give us new lino under warranty, grr. Had a small strop at DH after we went to get more ceiling paint, and after we'd left the shop he suddenly remembered he needed a replacement paint roller, and told him I'd had enough and we were going home. Hopefully today will be better! And hopefully DH will still be able to finish painting the bedroom today... despite the paint roller starting to fall apart!

Gilly - I've not really picked out a colour, lol. We're staying on team yellow so probably something like sand? or grey maybe...... Not getting too carried away as if it doesn't fir in the boot, it's a definate no no. Going to pop down tomorrow with both cars and see how they both fold down. Then hopefully, I can search the net for a good price package for mothercare to match
jannine - I'm sure the consultant just wants to keep an eye on you. Good that you're managing to eat now and have gained a few lbs. Better they give you extra care than just leave you should there be any problem
bluebell - I bought my paint rollers and polythene dust sheets from Morissons. B&Q is to far to trek, lolTTC #3..........0 -
:wave:hello
Im still on the < 12 week thread as I dont want to move over till my scan on friday but I just wanted to put my 2p worth in about pushchairs . . . .
One thing I wish i had thought about was the amount of stuff i could fit in the basket at the bottom of the pushchair - I purchased a M+P twin aria which was useless, even putting 1 or 2 things in it had it scraping along the floor. Even just a bottle of soft drink weighed too much ! Whilst you can put your handbag/change bag over the handle you cant with shopping bags so bear in mind if you are getting one with a single handle you will need a big/sturdy basket underneath to put bits in !
