Oh, forgot about the ante-natal classes discussion. I have no idea when the hospital one is but they muttered something about it. I'm sure there is at least a wander around the maternity department so we know where we are going!
I have booked some nct classes. I wasn't 100% sure about it but I think they will be a lot more in depth, and to be honest, I didn't really have much of a choice as my mother used to be an antenatal teacher and breastfeeding counsellor for the nct... She also offered to pay!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Congrats on V day Aimless!
About antenatal, I will do the ones at my hospital. I have to hand in a form after my scan today and then they will let me know when they are. At least i know they are in the evenings so don't need to miss work.
Although tomorrow afternoon have a 'pelvic floor' physio class and in a couple of weeks another about posture and back pain...0 -
Morning everyone, congrats aimless on the 24 week milestone
I was planning to ask mw at 24 weeks about ante-natal classes but will also ask at my scan in at 22 weeks as it seems a few of you are booking with the hospital. I'm planning on doing the nhs ones, but if the dates are no good, would pay for the nct ones, although the dates and time towards the end of the year aren't great for us either :rotfl: I do wonder if the NCT are worth the money, or whether to stick with the nhs ones.......TTC #3..........0 -
YAY my first pair of maternity jeans have arrived(over bump ones) and OMG they are so comfy:T:j:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

a fiver Bluebell? my hospital charge £3 for the photos, a bit more moneysaving
;-)
I didn't get the 12 week pics, though I'm going to try and see if they'll throw them in for free with the 20 week ones. They were printed and everything, the midwife at the hospital just pinned them to the front of my file instead of handing them over!
Our only option for antenatal classes in this area is NCT or SureStart classes. I believe the SureStart centre ones are free, must find the leaflet and give them a call to find out the details. I am quite restriced with times due to lectures so I might have to just go without if they're not convenient, as I can't really justify the cost of paying for them at NCT.
I did, however, just decide I could justify the cost of a mint Aero. Mmmmmmmm.:EasterBunOK, so it's an Easter smiley, but it seemed approriate :rotfl:
Congrats Aimless and Crabapple0 -
I've tried maternity jeans on in Topshop, New Look, Peacocks, M&P & Next.
I found M&P and Next the best. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Hello everyone
20w scan done and I am happy and bouncy...
all measurements fine and dandy, all normal.
had a trainee sonographer in the room as well so we got all the explanations on what they were doing which was quite interesting
and ... they weren't 100% sure, but it seems it's a girl!
head down, legs by my belly button and facing left, moving away...

Feel so much more relaxed.
At lunch went out and popped to the first shop with baby clothes near work (baby Gap) and bough two little socks - my first baby purchase0
