Hi Sunshine, you're due on my 2nd wedding anniversary
Awww, a lovely pic 4nnabella.
Tiny_tear, hope the scan goes well! I am getting excited about mine already, must remember to get some change though as they need £5 in change for the photo!
DH was staring at me getting dressed yesterday, loking really concerned. When I asked him what was wrong, he replied 'your belly button looks funny'. :rotfl: Scarily enough, I do seem to have a shrinking belly button. I guess it'll be one that pops out as my bump gets bigger, very weird!
Hope you are enjoying Heritage Open Day - for those of you that don't know, things are FREEEEEE this weekend. Well, open for free anyway. We're off to a local historic house this afternoon0 -
bumpmakesfour - HUGE congrats on reaching your 24 weeks. Hope the little bean stay put for a good while longer
tiny_tear - Enjoy your scan tomorrow.
I took my first look around Mothercare and Mama's & Papa's this week. I managed to resist buying anything, so I'm sure we can make it to the next scan (on the 30th) before we start buying anything. The Mothercare we have is a Mothercare World. It's huge and had some great things in stock. They also price match any shop including places like Asda and any store online excluding auction sites like ebay. Thought I'd share as I didn't know this until we wandered in. Might take advantage of their price match when I'm buying things.....
Hope everyone is having a relaxing stress free weekend. And when is the bump gonna start kicking me, lol. Still not sure that I've felt anything yet.......TTC #3..........0 -
Well, after all the excitement of OH feeling Pip kick for the first time back on Thursday, everything has gone quiet! Have barely felt anything the last couple of days! Plus I swear my little bump has disappeared today! I guess Pip has just moved backwards!
I've had a quiet weekend, pottering around the house cleaning and tidying while OH sits on his bum on the sofa playing FIFA! We went to the supermarket this afternoon to do a shop, which reminded me while we prefer to order it online! OH gets terrible trolley rage in a busy supermarket :rotfl: He's such a drama queen sometimes.
Anyway... Must get back to putting the clean clothes away...:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
a fiver Bluebell? my hospital charge £3 for the photos, a bit more moneysaving
;-)0 -
Hello All :j
Tiny_tear - hope you have a good scan tomorrow
4nnabella - My little mousey was not consistent with movements and it did freak me out. I found that when the kicks started it would happen one day then not for a few days but got gradually more frequent as the weeks passed so now feel something everyday even if it varies quite a lot as to how much. I decided to not worry as it was still early anyway obviously as we get much further along then I think you have to take more notice but for now they are probably tired or in a funny position.
Twigpig - he/shes only got little legs so you will have to wait am afraid until they get bigger!!!!!!then all hell will break loose !
As for the cost of scan piccies my first piccies were free as money machine was broken but last lot were £10 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Antenatal question
Been thinking about what to do as I think I would rather have my toenails pulled than go to classes (plus dont want hubby going horizontal  if they show any exciting pictures..). The local nct one has 2 evenings 8-10pm way past my bedtime plus 10-4 on 2 saturdays  which I dont think I could stand.
Are any of you in the same boat/have any opinions on following:
- online antenatal course eg babycentre's free course with forum
- dvd eg birthwise dvd £29.99
any ideas/suggestions?
thanks Ro x0 -
Thanks Ro, I'm not particularly worried, I know I'll start feeling things more regularly over the next few weeks. It's more that OH was soo excited when he felt it kick, he wants to feel it again, but Pip just isn't playing!
With regards to antenatal classes, we're going to the ones at our hospital. I'll probably sign up to the free Babycentre one as well though. I looked into NCT ones, but I don't think we can afford it.
Oh and our hospital didn't charge for scan pics, despite there being posters around the waiting room saying they did. They just gave us three or four pics after both scans and didn't say anything about us having to pay for them!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
My hospital don't charge for pictures, but I don't think any in Scotland/N.I do.
I managed to get 3 maternity bras from Mothercare for £20.50 the other day, worth a look at the sale stuff is anyone else is looking. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Re the anti natal classes,we put our name down at the booking in appt, for saturday course at the hospital...don't know if it's a one off one tho. I feel I'll need some refresher course as a lot has changed in 17 years lol. How far in the pregnancy do these courses usually start? X:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

4nnabella - your oh was lucky to cop a feel of kicking once my hubby would pay good money for a feel of mousey kicking :rotfl: I will probably be doing the babycentre online couse too, I know what you mean about cost of nct thats another reason not keen!
Gilly & 4nnabella - sounds like you are lucky with getting your scan piccies free !0
