lucy - glad to have the re-assurance that you're ok.
Thankfully, they don't make me re-use the bottles or I'd be chucking them back at them and buying them at asda/pharmacy for 50p. Surely, the NHS can spare me a few bottles over 9 months, or have we really reached the point, we can't afford more than 1 sample pot per person - ridiculous!........
Welcome emibbo  15 mins home birth scares the pants off me  Take me to a maternity unit any day :rotfl:TTC #3..........0 -
They've still not given me a sample pot, and every time I see someone "have you brought a sample" "er no because I don't have a pot" then nothing is done until the next time when it's that all over again. I suppose I'll have to go buy one!The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Oh I didn't realise some were funny about giving you pots:eek: we are lucky in our doc surgery as we just need to ask the receptionist and she has them behind her desk.:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

We have to reuse ours too, and they hand them back full. She forgot to give me one at my booking appointment, for the 16 week one she wrote no sample provided... ermm because I wasn't asked for one nor had anything to put it in!0

P.S even if I can actually get them to zip up because I have short legs they drag in every puddle.....!
I'm searching Ebay for short leg everythingGot some dungarees with a 27 inch leg arrived this morning, so the maternity jeans were abandoned as soon as I got back from the midwife.

My MW tips the sample down the sink and rinses it away. Then rinses the bottle out and gives it back. I suppose it's a sterile fluid isn't it and I know where it came from
Either way, I give it a good wash out when I get home to make sure.
I'm giving in to the maternity jeans hunt this weekend. My current jeans are simply too tight for comfort anymore ... and I LOVE those jeansHey ho, I'll see them again in another 6-8 months I suppose depending on how long before I can get back into them.
I'm going to to try Next, wasn't too impressed with the New Look selection. Anyone got any other suggestions for High Street shops that also have maternity wear (don't fancy the M&P or MC prices)
Thanks!

Probably a silly question but it's something that's worrying me a bit.....does bending from the waist hurt the baby? I can't bend from the knees because of arthritis:o:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

Yep I'll take one of those as well please!!
I've finally started wearing mat jeans as well! Pre-pregnancy I was into my skinny jeans, and they are just to uncomfortable now. I have the below the bump ones from Next (bought in the sale for £12.00) They are very comfortable, but they keep slipping down and giving me a builders bum!
I got my pregnancy notes back today after the MW took them to be typed up. There is all new info added and my weight chart. My BMI was 18 at my booking app and it says in brackets, very low, to be monitored! This is a bit worrying as I now weigh less than I did at my booking app due to the sickness I suffered. I have a little, round bump, but seem to have lost weight from my face and thighs! Hopefully I will start gaining in the next few weeks, especially when I get to the 20 week stage.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:
