Well you've another scan to go, so you can see what they say.

It may just be your pregnancy brain playing tricks :p

Yeah we'll see I guess I've actually got 4 more scans to go so should have some kind of pattern emerging by the end of those :) will of course keep you all updated though :D

Like I say the main issue is him or her being healthy and I just pray for that I guess the sex thing at least is distracting me from my thoughts that something may be wrong :o dunno if that is a good thing or bad one.

Pigpen... if I could've placed a bet on this happening to anyone here strangely enough it would've been you :rotfl::rotfl:how odd is that lol ! And did you feel like they were wrong at the time ?

Nope.. I just took their word for it.. and was a bit disappointed... But was soooooooooo delighted she was pink.

She is also 17 now so I would hope the technology and accuracy would have improved.. they were correct with 6 of the others though... 1 they couldnt tell (ds2) and 1 the option was not available (ds1).

    Hi all,

I'm after a bit or reassurance or advice from you lovely ladies, i'm an avid reader but not so avid poster!! :)

I'm currently 20 weeks (on friday) with baby no1, so probably paranoid and i don't really know what to expect and for the past couple of days have been getting some stomach pains.

I don't have a 'proper' bump yet, more still a B-shaped belly :D Its like the bottom bit of my B thats hurts and i can't really describe the pain, almost like a dull ache but with twinges every now and again. Also when i've been lying down or sitting for a period of time, when i get up and stretch i get a sharp pain and i had quite a bad dizzy spell when in the shower today....i don't know whether to call the midwife or if this is just part of pregnancy?

Ooh, last q, anyone know where abouts baby actually is at the mo? Is it still in the bottom half of the B or has it moved up? I seem to be more soft sqishy flab than hard baby bump :rotfl:

......oh and did i mention i'm completely clueless?!?

    TIA
    A_A
    XxX

........... Hello we are not far apart I was 20 weeks yesterday!
I am clueless as well as this is my first too
I think my baby is still below the belly button but who knows as my stomach is huge :rotfl::rotfl:my stomach is semi hard !!!:eek:  but I do have lots of extra padding.
The shower thing has come up before on the thread, think that the hot water lowers blood pressure which makes you feel dizzy so turn temp down.

I think that some 'stretching/ligament' pain is normal but I also think that the twinges I get are the baby sometimes who knows!!!

But if you are worried then contact MW so she can answer your questions.

Hopefully others will add their opinions!!!!

Morning ladies! Hope you are all well today. I'm thinking bubs has moved slightly, my toilet trips of a night have reduced from about 6/7 to 3. This makes me very happy.

  • Until 20 weeks, baby is below your belly button, it starts to expand upwards after 20 weeks, or so my MW said.

Oooh also, does anyone else find that in the morning there tummies aren't as big and then at night they almost double in size  what is that all about? I couldn't see my feet last night, get up this morning and it's fine?

Oh just used the doppler and could hear strange noises, kind of sharp....could this be baby kicking?

Thank goodness, thought I was going mad. I don't have a doppler, we looked at one yesterday but ended up spending the money on baby clothes instead :o

R.e Maternity clothes. I think I'm going to have to succumb to the maternity jeans soon. Has anyone bought any yet? I was looking at Next, it's there jeans I normally wear, does anyone have experience of the maternity sort from there?

I got some Next under the bump ones from ebay and like them... They seem to be quite generous for size, as I was just in a 16 there when I fell PG and my 16 mat jeans are very comfy and not tight :)
