Hmmmm... Organised, or nothing better and more exciting to do with my time than sit glued to my laptop.
S'pose i should make the most of it while i still have time to myself!
You can always sell the pushchair/pram on when its time to move up a seat, and buy a different one that is more flexible?Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I won't be using the car seat on the pram anyway, only carry cot or when they're old enough the push chair aspect of it. It's more the car I'm annoyed about. It would be difficult to sell a car seat I think, due to people not knowing if it had been in accidents etc
It's something I'll just have to swallow and chalk down to experience I think.
I just don't want to be spending over £100 on a base that is effectively useless after a year! Looks like I'll have to though
What colour of Sola did you go for? We had a look at that too but the shop was so busy at the time and loads of people were around it.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
We got our Sola 2nd hand to keep costs down. Practically pristine condition. Ended up with the plain black, as we didnt know the team then, and thought it was easier to jazz it up with different accessories/ blankets/liners later. Some of the other options were a bit...... umm.. vivid! And we didnt want the hassle of buying blankets that didnt clash with bright green or vivid fuschia!
See your difficulty with the car seat/bases and reselling. Could you return the whole lot, and swap to a different one? It will be unused so they should let you, esp if you swap to a sola or something else there. Or see if they will let you just return the seat?
The maxi cosi family fix base is on special at amazon for £99 at the mo, instead of £150! Not bad for 0-3.5 years!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

We've not collected the pram yet, having it delivered the 12th of December, so they may let us change, but I LOVE my pram, we got the M&P Mylo and it's a dream :heartpuls I really don't want to change, I suppose we could maybe sell the car seat if it comes in a sealed box, and just buy the Primo Viaggio car seat, it fits on my pram and I think the base is interchangeable.
I would have went for the black too so good choice. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

The Primo viaggio car seats are really not very good at all from a safety point of view.
We got the Britax Shr for Squeak which will do this one as well.. given it is only a year old and she outgrew it at 8 months as she is a huge long thing and a chunky wide thing.. It did really well consistently in safety tests etc.
It is recommended in a lot of countries that babies are kept rear facing until they are about 4 as the impact of an accident can remove the childs skull from its neck due to the head being so large in proportion to the body size.. in Sweden they have to be rear facing until 4.. America are pushing to get their age limit raised to 2.. here they dont give a toss about childrens lives so dont really care.
I spent months looking at car seats we got the be safe izi x3.. but the Britax multi tech looks like a really good purchase too.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Anyone know anything about how good the maxi cosi pebble is safety wise? I've been looking at it because it is apparently quite flat, and i'll probably be doing a lot of long motorway journeys.
Just got back from a few days away... seems I can't do walking very well any more! And sunday eve I was up at hourly intervals till 4am to wee, it's too early for all this!
The other half has been playing train noises to the baby, it always kicks when he does. Then we went on a real steam train, and the baby recognised the noise!0 -
