You're welcome. We've decided to get a newborn seat, and keep this one for when they're older(I think a car seat you can carry if they're sleeping is better) x

....... good point can see where your coming from there, we know we wont be using it much but we can get another one if need be which we can carry. We were going to go down the car boot route but a bit paranoid they might reject it or something at the hospital so if this new one gets them home we will be happy! it will mainly be used very short distances ocasionally ie to the park with dylan and baby will go into a pram.
    Thanks Lucy
Right its time for bed !!!!!!

It also says in my second bounty book that the experts recommend rear facing seats for newborns,as less stress on their neck and head if there was a sharp break in the car x

We got the M&P's Aton car seat free with our pram, debating over getting the isofix base or not. If anyone wouldn't mind having a google, is the base that fits the Aton only suitable for that or will it be able to be used when the little one grows out of the Aton and we have to buy another car seat?

    24 weeks today :j

Had two appointments last week. One to check their hearts, and they are both the right (correct) side with all the connections which is great.

Also had my growth scan and baby b is now catching up. only 6% difference this time.

    :j:j:j Excellent news Kitten_Pie :j:j:j

We have gone for the Sola, based on the Which best buy reviews. We wanted a compatible car seat, and looked at the Aton, but one reason for not getting it, was that they arent compatible with anything else. I believe the Aton Isofix, is just for the Aton seat, after that it is defunct.

We ended up with a Maxi Cosi cabriofix seat group 0 which if you buy the adaptors, is compatible with the M&P sola (again based on Which reviews), which we have bought with the Maxi cosi Family fix isofix base which can be used for the cabriofix and the next seat along, so up to 3.5 years.

I knew it, grrrr! I'm tempted just to belt the car seat in for all the time we'l be using it, I don't drive and it'l be me with the baby a good percent of the time. So confused :( we got our Aton free and it seemed like a good deal, shows I should have researched!

LOL. I am a saddo research demon though... i can easily spend weeks and monsth just researching and deciding one little thing, and then more weeks on where best to get it from. The pooternet is my friend. Hence why the first thing that i made DH buy when we got the BFP was a subscription to Which!!

I suppose, we saved £165 with our car seat and adaptor for the pram. If I look at it like that I won't mind but it's just annoying I could have looked. Also the fact I'll be forced to buy it from M&P's probably. Trying to tell my OH about this and he's just "ooh it'l be fine" I don't think he actually comprehends what I'm telling him.

    You're too organised :p
