They are usually £5 but reduced to £3 in the Baby and toddler event.:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

Afternoon ladies!
I think I'm the only one working today!! At least it's quiet and I get to shop...
I went to visit my cousin yesterday and she's bought quite a few bits so that made me paranoid and I've now bought a few things! And I've researched loads of thing's I'd like - just need hubby to agree on them then away I go again!
Oh I have a question - I hope to breastfeed when baby arrives and was wondering what I should buy as a starter pack? I don't want to buy a pump until I know I can do it but would love some help on other things to buy!
Thanks!
Oh and it's my first year anniversary today! Hubby sketched me a pic of my wedding dress and had the lyrics to our first dance next to it in a frame - It was lovely!
Have a good day all!

pske_lisa I think if you're planning to breastfeed, I wouldn't bother buying anything if you don't want to buy a pump. Shops are open 24hours and I think if you have formula/bottles in the house it's easier to give up with the breast feeding.
I'm planning on buying my breast pump, and lansinoh cream for my nipplesand breast pads etc.

Thanks Gilly, If all goes well I'll get a breast pump I just don't want to buy one 'just in case'!
I was thinking of getting formula in as a 'just in case' too but might forget that now - as you say it might be easier to give up then!

I'm not taking the chance, loads of people have said to me by day 3, you'd sell your soul to the devil for formula but if you can break through the barrier then, you'l be fine normally.
I know if I had the formula I would more than likely give up.
I'm planning on buying my breast pump but not opening it, so I'm sure Boots would take it backThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
My DH (at the moment!) is very keen on being involved in taking some responsibility feeding beanette when she arrives, which means, as i am hoping to BF, that i will give expressing a go once the feeding is established. So i've just bought a small starter kit of bottles, and we will be buying the Medela swing pump (which Which scores most highly) in a month or so, along with some milk storage bags.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

That's the pump we're planning on buying Kira.
One of my close friends had her baby a few weeks ago, and was given the Medela in the hospital and now she's home has a Tommee Tippee pump and wishes she'd bought the Medela now.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
The Which article was very helpful, as otherwise i wouldnt have a clue and the testing really did show up some huge differences between pumps! I am tempted to get a cheaper manual as well, just for expressing in the bath, as i've heard that can really help esp in the early engorgement days, and obv, an electric pump wouldnt be very sensible in that case!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!
