4 Hand Knitted wool Baby Blankets £6
2M Rug for our sitting room £5
Old fashioned electric spinner £4 (to help things dry quicker as we dont have a dryer could be useful with nappies)

  • Hi Ladies,
I am on the<12 weeks, just wondered if any of you were in the Milton Keynes area and would have advise on getting an 8 week scan. My SIL had one but as we aren't telling yet I didn't want to ask her
I have my first doctors appt tomorrow so will maybe check with him
    Thanks

How much are the starter pack at Asda Bluebell? You can get 3 for a tenner in Boots at the moment, plus your points on top :p

Free with their baby club voucher! :D Heading back that way tomorrow so will see if they've restocked.

Had a couple of friends over today with a 10 month old. The baby was just such hard work, picking up everything, crawling around... managed not to stick her to the freshly glossed door or skirting, which I thought was quite impressive. However I am now feeling suitably horrified by birth stories and tales of poo, I guess it's too late to change my mind about wanting children  :)
Lucky we got a highchair at the car boot yesterday, as it made lunchtime easier! Wasn't expecting to need it quite this fast. Good news is my friend has offered me lots of baby toys that hers has got bored of, so that'll be really useful. If I have a girl I can use the clothes too! Though MiL has kept all DH's baby clothes, plus his sisters, so she's going to pass them on to us. I'm sure they'll be well made, if a bit 70s :) I expect that's fashoinable again now anyway.

lol bluebell.. the poo tales are all true but the birth stories are quite often not.. and none of it stops people going in for more than 1!!

Evening all. Been out today and not totally shattered now, which is ace! Mind you, I did go to bed early last night and must have had 10 hours sleep (interrupted by loo breaks obv, but not too many).

Just come away from a friends house with two bags of baby clothes, some for when baby is a little older but a good amount of newborn and 0-3 months which will come in very handy. Just got to sort through it for the early stage ones and put the rest away for later, and then run things through the wash closer to the time.

Also had a phone call from other friends who want us to go round in the week and have first refusal on a load of stuff they are clearing out of their loft as they are about to move.

I'm also planning to breastfeed but express some once established so DH and others can feed as well. Not getting much yet, but I was figuring in any event will need breastpads, sterilising stuff and some bottles. I'm not too fussed about getting that yet but we've been offered a second hand but not much used steriliser.

Been talking to DH today about sorting out the house and removing a load of stuff to the loft to clear space. I'm sure he is really looking forward to that - I won't go up the ladder even when not pregnant!

:jHello had a good day. Managed to pick up lots of bits from sainsburys as they had 25% off clothing,so got lots of Disney things. Went to asda again and this time had the baby car seat for £25.... It says from birth to 7/8 years. Not sure how good it is but we can always take it back x

    Hi Darkphaery!!

Have you broken those Irregular Choice shoes in yet? :D

Yes i wore them to a Wedding, i intend to wear them all the time until my pregnant feet are too fat to squeeze into them :rotfl:

Got my appointment problem sorted for my 16 week bloods. Having to go to the hospital to have them taken, they were not amused with my Drs, took the surgery name and everything.

Went on a big shopping trip with my mum and sister on Sunday while DH was at the football, lots of things bought, some cute some useful :)

Hope everyone is well and doing good x
