    Welcome Emmylou :)

Jannine, hope you have a better day today. The midwife when I booked in told me that the baby is the equivalent of a parasite, it sucks all the nutrients it needs from the Mum's stores. I'm sure it'll be just fine with the sickness, as it'll be getting everything it needs to grow.

I've got a reasonable sized bump now, was looking at holiday pics from when I was 9 weeks and thought I'd got a really obvious bump, but it's definitely got bigger since then (and I'm not convinced it was really that obvious, looking at the pics)! However I'd agree not everyone gets bumps, one of my cousins had put on a little weight and so was on a diet... then had a baby, which was a total surprise to her and the rest of the family (and to her then boyfriend!). Baby is now a healthy teenager :)

DH was drinking cider last night, it's the first time I've actually missed drinking alcohol. I had a sip, and it was delicious. We're having cider sauce with turkey tonight, so that should hopefully taste reasonably cider-like and make up for it! I think I know what's going in the hospital bag when I start sorting that out, a nice bottle of cider :)

Bluebell, that's funny, I've been wanting cider too! :D The silly thing is, I'm not generally a great drinker, I can go from one month to the next without having alcohol, but I've been really wanting some. I had a sip too on sunday which seems to have done the trick for now. :D My other half is an old school, drink what you want, eat anything, there's advice on everything so ignore it type, he keeps telling me just to have a glass. I know realistically I can have some, but still...

Jannine, I looked more fat than anything for ages, then one day this huge bump just appeared and I can't see my toes properly. :D My mum told one lady last week who I've seen every week, she hadn't even noticed because I just put a long shirt or jumper on. :D And I'm 21 weeks now!

All the talk of nurseries on here is worrying me rather, I don't have a spare room, and at the mo not even floor space for the crib in mine! :(

I've put on weight so quickly. Guess everyone is different though hey? Jannine, my sister was ill throughout both her pregnancies, and lost loads of weight, but gave birth to 2 healthy babies. Big hugs to you hun x

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I was tempted to put a bottle of white wine in mine, but it wouldn't be the same if it was warm! I had proper cravings for cider ice lollies when I was about 12 -16 weeks and I don't even like cider, but Asda do some really nice cider flavoured ones :D Think I've still got a couple in the freezer so might go and get one now!

Hi mozzy - I've not had that buzzing in my breasts, but man, have they grown! They are a little less tender this week, so hopefully we're turning the corner.... :)

emmylou - welcome over the next thread

bluebell - I now have visions of you clinking all the way into the hospital with your 6 pack "carry out" cider...... :rotfl:
Oh, and that booty is amazing! :)

Lucy - :T I'm the same as you. Every week we move to a new week, it's gets a little more real. 17 weeks tomorrow!! :D

We had some help from BIL last night, who I must say was an absolute star, so my computer room is now our guest room and the guest room which is now the baby's room is mostly empty now. I've left the spare sofa in there for now until we order our furniture, so it doesn't seem too bare. Painting in 2/3 weeks as we have some time off work :) Exciting! :j
