Janine don't worry too much I'm 16 weeks too and no sign of a bump at all :) I don't "feel" pregnant either, if there is such a feeling. I'm also eating like no tomorrow, so please don't worry! We'l probably balloon at 20 odd weeks!

Thanks Gillyx, that's made me feel a little better! I was just googling (the worse thing to do when you're worried!) pictures of pregnant bellies at 16 weeks and they all looked massive! I have a slight bump when I'm stood up, but when I lay down, its flat as a pancake!

I don't have one no matter how I'm standing or lying! I think it all depends, one of my closest friends is a tiny wee thing and she had a belly at about 17 weeks, but then barely grew for the rest of her pregnancy. Think of it in a way, of fitting into your clothes for longer :)

I'm 16 weeks now, and feeling very worried about the baby. In early pregnancy I felt ok, slightly sicky, but not actually being sick. I've got so much worse the past few weeks.

I've tried ice lollies thanks, they came straight back up, ice cream I really don't fancy! I'm mainly just eating cereal at the moment, trying to eat sweet cereal like frosties, sugar puffs etc as I feel really weak. I've always suffered with low blood sugar and everytime I stand up I feel like I'm going to pass out due to the not eating.

I know this is normally a happy place, but I can honestly say this weekend I've hated being pregnant and wished that I wasn't. It feels awful typing that, expecially with women who are desperate to have children, but I do feel that desperate now. :(

Really hoping I can some help/relieve from the Doctor today.

    Thanks for the post jenjade.

Aaah, Janine, I'm sorry to hear you are suffering :( I can sympathise as I really struggled with sickness and it lasted until I was about 17 weeks. The GP gave me Cyclizine which helped ease some of the sickness but it didn't remove it completely. Like you I was feeling very dizzy every time I stood up and felt like I was drunk. I hope you get something from your GP.

We're all here to listen, I know how low you can feel when you feel so ill, and as much as you are happy to be pg, you just want it to be over with so that you can feel like yourself again.

Thanks Wonder Womble. I've just called my boss to explain and he is normally quite understanding, he just said its not like you're actually ill though! You're only pregnant! Annoyed me quite a bit, I might not be 'technically' poorly, but when you've been vomiting for 4 days straight you feel bloody ill!

I've never been signed off work before, do I need to ask my Doctor this? Is she likely to sign me off?

Jannine, sorry you are feeling so sick hon. I was sick from +4 days up to 17-18 weeks, most days, and most meals, so i sympathise! Your GP wont necessarily sign you off for a week, as upto 7 days is self certified. I had this about 14 weeks, where i was just worn down and exhausted by the constant throwing up, and went to the doc. I ended up just taking the week off self cert, and the doc said, if it made me feel better, and i needed another week, then he would sign me off for a further week/weeks. As it was, the week was just what i needed, and was the start of things feeling a bit better.
Some bloke GPs (and a few ladies) are a bit unsympathetic about m/s, so if you want to have something for the sickness, and they try and fob you off, insist! You could ask about taking vit B supplements instead/as well, as that can really help with M/S.

As for food, dont worry if you can only manage one or two things, just have those. I lived on mainly 3 things for weeks, jacket potatoes with cheese, breaded cod pieces and mango. As PP said, your beanie will be nourished by your stores, not the food you eat, so not eating just makes you feel pants, and wont affect beanies development.

Jannine.. I wish I was on the pc.. on there I have a pic of my friend at 33 weeks pregnant and she has absolutely not bump at all.. not even the slightest hint of one! She had a healthy little girl at 35 weeks. She only ad a bump with her 4th and then it looked more like she needed a big poo! Honestly she was skeletal until the end! She wore a size 8-10 so it wasnt even like she had anywhere to hide a baby! It is just the way some people carry their babies!

Thanks pigpen, I know the baby will be fine deep down, but I don't have a bump yet and feel like I should have at 16 weeks gone. It just doesn't feel like there is a baby in there at the moment! I would never normally touch sweet cereal, usually have weetabix, but sugar puffs/frosties are all I fancy. I've got some grapes in the fridge and melon and some peaches, so I am going to try to eat those. I also quite fancy a smoothie, so my husband is going to get some on the way home. Didn't think about the full fat milk, normally have semi, so will get him to pick some of that up too.

    Thanks for the advice.

A friend of mine didnt start showing untill around 8 months and she had a healthy 9lb baby girl! :)

    Hi!
I'm having a buzzing/vibrating feeling in my left breast. I've read this could be my milk ducts coming in.
Has anyone else experienced this. Very weird lol. Had to keep checking phone wasn't in my pocket Haha

I`m off for my downs screening this morning, my dates put me as 13+5, however baby was too small to do the screening on last time as was showing at 7 days smaller.
