Laura did you get caught up in all the weather today? Hope you're OK and didn't get flooded or anything. Wasn't too bad out here but I know it caused chaos in town xx

    Congratulations on team pink Kira!

Redhead, our ebay bargain was a new Argos travel system, http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3764824/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CNursery%7C14417537/c_2/2%7C14417537%7CPushchairs%2C+prams+and+carriers%7C14417542/c_3/3%7Ccat_14417542%7CTravel+systems%7C14417545.htm We've had a play with it, and although it doesn't fold down really tiny, it seems very sturdy and well made, and has lots of space for storing all the baby stuff, shopping etc. We're figuring our little one won't care what the brand name is at that age, or how pretty the pram is, as long as it works :-)

Going to look at a replacement car tomorrow :-( Nothing wrong with our current 'modern' (1993) car, other than it being very thirsty. So we might be downsizing from an 3 litre estate to a 1.7 hatchback, and freeing up a few hundred if we can find a buyer for our existing car. DH has plans to run the hatchback for a few years, whip out the engine, and drop it in our Morris Minor project car when the car is ready for it. He's done some careful measuring and it should fit fine.... and while the different car would be very sensible, I'll be very sad to say goodbye to our lovely Merc. She's just sooo comfy and lovely to drive. I suspect I'll be in floods of tears if we do sell her on!

Congrats on TEAM PINK kira. We are still getting used to saying she!

Delain i'm about 20miles away from bouremouth so wasnt caught in the floods but did get soaking whilst coming out of the hospital and popping into town. Did wonder how you were:)

LauraLou... team pink bump buddy! I know what you mean about using she. but we also have to be careful, because DH's parents dont want to know what we are having, and till now, we have been using "he" as a generic. So if we suddenly use she with them, they will twig!

We got caught in that torrential rain coming out of the hospital yesterday too. Absolutely SOAKED! Glad DH was driving us back on the motorway, he could hardly see the end of the bonnet!

Just as a heads up Ladies, theres 25% off all baby items (even sale items) on Tesco direct.

Just bought a Sketchbook Winnie Moses Basket for £39 instead of £75 so happy with that :)

Cuddlewraps are really cheap at the minute too.

    Hope this helps someone x

Thanks Etanny. Well we are all awesome, so of course girls rock! :)
Mum has now finished digging out my baby clothes from 197mumble mumble). We shall see what they are like before agreeing to use them! 70's styling leaves something to be desired most of the time!

Missed the scan updates, so congratulations to Amanda for bucking the trend and going team blue, and to Kira for another team pink:j
(guess that wasn't what you thought it might be on the private scan!!).

I've told friends it is a girl if they have asked. DH has been telling everyone he is having a daughter! I tried not to tell my work colleagues, then yesterday blurted out without thinking a comment that she had been kicking me all afternoon, so keeping them in the dark didn't work for long :rotfl:

and Kira, for the wonders of the 1970's you want to see the cot my parents have produced (was mine and my brother's when we were tiny). The cutesey bunny rabbit and chicks picture on the ends need to be seen to be believed. Still got a few months to give the thing a lick of paint though...

Crabapple.. beware the 70s paint.. it is probably laced with lead so you should not be sanding/stripping it!
