Great news ScaryGreen, I had a CVS with my son cos his dad had some iffy chromosomes. All turned out fine, and as you say, we got to find out a definite sex too. As it happened, they said they thought it was a girl when they did the scan on the day of the test (14 weeks so a bit naughty of them to say so early really), so I wrote a card to Daddy for his birthday from his 'little Princess Eleanor'. The day they phoned with the results was the day of his birthday and told us it was actually a boy, so I had to scribble out the 'ss Eleanor' and rewrite with our choice of boy's name! Still got that card actually.
We're still using the same girl's name this time round (different dad but thankfully he likes it!) so is a good bit of recycling I think!Little lady arrived 13/12/110 -
Sorry havn't got time to read back. Hope everyones bumps are ok.
So i had my 20 week scan today and Baby is fine
Had to run up and down the corridoor to get baby to move round as she was turned round so had a run and she was a good girl and turned round
So as you have guessed we found out the sex and we are having a GIRL.

Morning everyone, hope you are all doing OK today and looking forward to a relaxing weekend!
Congrats Lauralou on team pink :-)
I bought a couple of pairs of maternity trousers on ebay, so now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that they fit and look OK when they arrive. I'm thinking of aiming for 6 pairs in total, 3 for work and 3 for casual wear, hopefully that will get me through as we don't have a tumble drier so it's going to be harder to dry things over winter. Trying not to spend more than £5 a pair either, but I'm 31p over budget so far after 2 pairs. Looks like I'll have to wait a few months before people start listing jumpers on there, even though it feels so cold I've been in my winter clothes for most of the summer anyway! Still, my tops are doing OK for bump cover at the moment, but my work trousers in particular are down to my last 2 pairs that fit, and one of those is getting rather tight...
Had a nice visit from firemen yesterday. They do a fire safety check for free, and provide and fit smoke alarms! It had been bothering me that we hadn't got any, but it's taken ages to arrange for them to come round. Still, after 4 months in our house I'm glad it's sorted out. I'm sure it gave the neighbours something to talk about as they turned up in a proper fire engine!0 -

Oooooo FIREMEN bluebell
:rotfl:
Of the two that actually came in to our house, one was female and the other, though male, was nothing special.
A 3 day course I went to at a fire training college last year had many more nice firemen to look atI think I just about paid attention to the course as well!

Hey everyone,
nice to read about everyones scans, there's a lot of team pinks here! I'll be finding out in 3 weeks, can't wait. I got some good news today as the results of my blood test came in the post and little bean is low risk for downs & spina bifida which is a relief
My sickness got better for a few days there so I enjoyed some food for once and it was amazing but I've thrown up twice today already so my hopes of it going away completely were dashed but I'm still grateful for those few nausea free days lol.
I felt the baby kick for the first time today and it felt really hard & obvious which was nice because I've been feeling about for a few weeks trying to feel something then it just came out of nowhere when I was sitting on the couch with a cuppaGood to know there's definately a bubba in there and he/she's a energetic little kicker too!
Hugs to jenjade, I know how you feel. My backache gets so bad sometimes it's horrible and I just realised I have big purple veins on my lower back and when I touch them the feel like bruisesNot nice at all, but it'll all be worth it in the end remember
