I also got a bargain in Mothercare, they had some Pampers nappies that were half price £6.48 down to £3.24 per pack so I took the 4 packs that they had left, then when I got to the till they took another £1.50 per pack, so each pack cost only £1.74 :rotfl:
oh i wish i lived near a mothercare ;-( I have got piles of nappies now and have only spent a few quid:rotfl::j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Bl00dy hell PP, you had me worried!
Had me Nuchal thingy today, straight in, then sent away because bladder not full (was prepared for 30min wait!) even after 15mins & bottle & 1/2 water couldn't see as clear as last weekdid all measurements & new EDD 25/12/11 OMG! Saves buying a turkey! (Do they do Xmas dinner in hosp?) that makes me 13+5 now, I'm going forward so quick I'm probably gna over take the other pg & have it in Sept!
Took my DS & he was absolutely over the moon, (I hadn't told him, just waited for confirmed hb, then said 'what do u think is on the TV') jumping for joy, beeming smile & now belly kisses. He is such an angel, I think he's more excited than me! On another thread I had, someone slated me because I said a big reason I was having a baby was for my sons benefit, I really don't get why that is a bad thing! Obviously I will love it to bits when it's here & mother it how a mother should, but if I didn't have a child, I wouldn't have chosen to get pg now, it's the importance of siblings etc.
Excited to open my BIG mouth & start blabbing to everyone:j - DS - 7

Rise above those who slated you hun. There are loads of people out there that have babies so they can not work and claim benefits and thats there reason. As long as the baby is well cared for and loved who cares about the reasons:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

I have got loads of free or nearly free nappies the problem is a lot of the vouchers are newborn 1st size and i now have 5 packs of those and have spend £3.20 on them ( botts to get the free changebag) My dd was 8lb 1 oz so she wasnt in newborns long! I am trying to get bigger when possible but its a struggle!

Hello ladies,
Finished the babies room today. It looks lovely though il no doubt find some extra crap to put in there before he is born. A maximum of 16 weeks left....*sigh*
My god-daughter is growing so fast! I can't believe she nearly 6 weeks old. How time flies.
I've been thinking about going back to Uni recently, to study midwifery perhaps. Its clearly a big decision to make, and its difficult to plan 18 months in advance. I'm not sure I want to committ to staying where we currently live for another 5 years, though studying at the Uni here would be very very convenient. Childcare might be an issue though.
On the otherhand, we could move closer to my parents (who would happily help out with sproglet) and I could study at a Uni there. Though the commute would be further and unfortunatly they live in a rather expensive area of the country!
What do you lot think? Is it ever something you've considered or would consider?
JenJade - I have about 25 packs of newborn. In my defence, they were all bought for Felix who we knew was going to be small and about 95% of them were free! I also have 53 packs of baby wipes, LOL!
I've been getting kicked alot recently. OH can see him moving and kicking too which is quite nice. I'm hoping he has had a growth spurt over the last few weeks because I am massive. My neighbour thought I was 8 months0 -
Oooh, where is everyne getting these packs of free nappies from?0
