My bump has exploded this week! Its nice to see but DS still insists on lying directly on top of me to nap/in the morning which is getting more and more uncomfortable. Ow to being elbowed in the breasts too!

Although DH did get his nuts stepped on today by DS which made me laugh - hehehe :D

Am sat here wondering if eating something would make me feel better or worse.......what to do, what to do....

Perhaps you could just choose a size bigger con1888 with your trousers or loop an elastic band through your button hole and round the button - it gives you another week or two of wearing your trousers and looks ever so sexy. lol. My work colleague taught me the elastic band trick :)

I had to undo the zip this week they were that uncomfortable, I do have a pair that are like palazzo pant style and they are fine as they are an elastic type waist but going to need new smart ones for sure !

Think I may live in leggings and long tops for the duration, SO much comfier !!
  • Hi all,

    hope everyone is ok?

Is it just my DH or do you ladies have the same problem as me that I just want to kick DH out/send him somewhere/knock him out? :rotfl::rotfl:My oh my, he is doing my head in tonight, he wont shut up talking...all the way through surprise surprise, x factor and now Downton....arrghhhhhhhh!!! wouldn't mind if it was about something useful....he's talking rubbish tonight!

on the other hand....he has been a star this weekend, doing odd jobs round the house and last night he felt the weird pulse feeling in my belly....the one we were chatting about quite a few posts back! :T he was really made up :D

I think baby is starting to recognise our voices (dunno if it can but I can dream!)......I don't really feel it move much during the day but when we are sat talking on the sofa (when I don't want to knock him out!) its moving around.....lots and lots of flutters in my tummy.

well my week off work has now come to an end......don't want to go back tomorrow but suppose I have to! Cant buy all those cute baby items on no income!

Thanks for the Fisher Price linky Lola! That's a really good freebie! :)

Yay to feeling lots of movements for the ladies with active babies! I'm only feeling mine on a morning when I'm lying in bed but it's lovely. :)

Mrs Bunny, I sympathise with you for having an annoying OH! Mine isn't driving me *that* mad generally but yesterday I got pretty fed up with him! He's just taken over all the baby buying duties and sucking the fun out of it. :( We went into M&P yesterday for a look and to ask about bedding as we realised we didn't know just what we're supposed to have over baby in the cot (I was sure it wasn't the massive fleecy blanket that OH was desperate to buy! ;)) and we also picked up a checklist of what we *should* have (according to M&P at least!) so on the way home OH went through the list and found everything on Amazon and added it to his wishlist and ordered some of the bigger stuff that was heavily discounted, I didn't even get a say really. I don't mind him ordering certain things, but he was even picking out clothes and toys (he's even added maternity bras to the wishlist!), the stuff that I'd really rather buy in person rather than just blindly ordering the cheapest thing we find off the internet. He's also pretty clueless when it comes to clothes as we only have 3 vests in newborn size but several bits in 0-3 so when he was looking at the list he was going, 'Yeah, we've got all that stuff' and I kept having to explain that our baby will probably be pretty small when he's first born and might appreciate having clothes that actually fit rather than being stuck in way too big things because his Daddy couldn't be bothered buying clothes and hats etc for the sake of a few weeks! :p

I'd also made it quite clear how I'd like to decorate the nursery and that I didn't want to get too matchy matchy in there yet he's been ordering all of the M&P Jamboree collection bit by bit (including the mobile, which I said I didn't want), had to stop him from buying the bumper and blanket yesterday. Then he almost ordered a pack of jungle themed wall stickers even though he knows I've been spending the last 2 weeks looking for nice prints to use on a bit of a gallery wall... the guy just never listens to me! It's nice that he's excited and involved, but it's at the expense of my own involvement. :(
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I'm not sure Becca it seems to be coming on very slowly & my sisters hen do is this weekend so hope I'm ok for that.

Thanks for the free toy link Lola!

Birdie your DH sounds so excited lol! I can understand why it's annoying though. Mine is excited but I know he won't have a clue about what to buy & will leave it to me to decide which I'm quite happy about as I have ideas in my head too!

That did make me laugh he's put maternity bras on the list, I don't think mine would have any idea about things like that!

    I completely get you!

Bf wants the final say in pretty much everything...sweet that he wants to be involved but so annoying as I don't feel like I'm really getting much of an input at all!
He is also just generally driving me to the brink. He was complaining today that the trackies he needed for training smell - I sniffed them and to me they just smell of laundry detergent and a slow dry (not so slow they smell musty but you can tell they weren't dried outside if you know what I mean?)
Then he was huffing as a vest he wanted isn't dry yet and complained asking why I didn't wash them on Saturday as I should have known he wanted them today...well excuse me but someone (HIM!) dragged me to Southport on Saturday for a 5 hour training session where I just had to sit in the corned whilst he trained! And I didn't enjoy the 70-90minute drive each way either. All because he wanted to 'spend some time with me' after having been at a GB camp all week :| and then yesterday he had a basketball game at 2pm so obviously had to train first from 11-1 then complained he was tired before playing the full game, we came home via his mum's so he could have his hair cut, only got home at 6pm then whilst he had a shower muggins here was cooking tea, washing up, putting laundry out to dry and washing his bottles and putting together his training bag for today!

Honestly sometimes I think I'm expecting my second :|

In actual baby news, all I want now is for a proper bump and to feel baby move :/

Thank goodness for OH's eh and their funny ways, bless them!

After a few days of not feeling movement and worrying, I felt the flutters last night during x factor, baby must've been "enjoying" the singing and my warbling alongs....

Had anomaly scan today, had to have 3 scans in all as the baby wasn't in the right position for the ultrasound technician to see all of of the heart and then I got called back in to check the legs again, so that was worrying but all is fine, just my placenta is very low and I need to go back in a few weeks to check it again....

My mum and hubby came with me so that was nice, my mum texted me later to say it was a very special event for her :)

Is there a shortage of baby boys in the world cos we are Team Blue as well!

The scan pics (I got 2 I paid for and 2 free ones for my patience :) ) make it look like baby has a full head of hair, we shall see!

Me and hubby had a pub lunch to celebrate then I bought some big pj bottoms from Primark for a fiver to lounge around in, happy days!

Just been to the library and got some pregnancy books and baby name books for inspiration, need help!
  • Supposed to be doing an online course so will catch up on what I've missed later but needed a little rant!

New Look maternity trousers come up really small! Got all excited by my order arriving at work today, just tried it on and couldn't breathe in any of them! Bizarre given that the tops seem very generous!

Oh well, back to the drawing board for me, getting very sick of having 3 pair of identical jeans and nothing else to wear!
  • hi all, goodnews, my DH made it through the night last night!!! Goodness me he was doing my head in! Back to loving him this evening!!

Back at work today, I am now shattered, 6pm couldn't come fast enough then to make things worse I was stuck in traffic for an extra 40 minutes. Home now and chilling, not sure if I will be able to stay awake for the whole of the midwifes programme on bbc2 shortly...will try though!
