Sneaks in
Birdie - DS was in his Moses basket for the first 10 weeks (born 7lb 3oz) then moved straight to his cotbed. We liked the Moses basket as the first couple of weeks, he slept downstairs until we went to bed (after that we'd put upstairs about 7.30 and then do all feeding up there until morning). A friend passed on an extra stand so it was easy enough. Even moving him at 10 weeks, he was barely a tiny dot in his cotbed, but adapted well and slept in there fine.
If you're looking to buy a crib though, I wouldn't bother with a Moses basket as well and they'll get a bit longer out of the crib. Have you thought about whether you're happy to move them into their own room if the outgrow the Moses basket in 5/6 weeks?
We've now had 2 people offering us a lend of their moses basket so we're definitely starting with that now.Not sure what we'll do if he grows out of it quickly though, we can't fit the cotbed in our bedroom but our rooms are right next to each other so might see how he gets on in his own room, if not, we'll have to get a cot for our room. Will be one of those 'play it by ear' things!
Sorry you're still so ill Claire, can't imagine how awful this must be for you.
Will check out the ASOS jeans, my New Look ones fit now but I can just tell even with the belly band I'll have major muffin-top-ness going on in a few weeks! I just hate the rigmarole of returning stuff I've ordered online and wish that they'd get the sizing right in the first place!
Hope you enjoy your night out Lush, and that it's not too late! I'd be beside myself if I asn't even sitting down to eat 'till 8.30! Would have to have a pre-dinner dinner!Threw a party at home last week for OH's birthday and I was so exhausted by the time everyone arrived from all the setting up that I was yawning my head off by 9.30! I kept looking at my watch and hoping they'd all go home soon! :rotfl:

Enjoy your work meal lush, I think the guys at work want to go for a drink tonight but I haven't told them I'm pg so if I ask for a lemonade might raise suspicions!
Can anyone recommend a doppler?
I've got anomaly scan on Monday, haven't felt any movement for 3 days so feeling worried now!
Generally feel good, lots of energy, walk up and down stairs at work, belly is pretty big, just no movement is concerning me.....0 -
I had to have my extra 15-week blood test today because they couldn't get a nuchal reading. Fingers crossed everything's ok.
I've been feeling the baby move a bit for the last week. Little tickles and pushesMortgage when started: £330,995

Claire, hope you feel better soon, it feels never ending doesn't it. My nausea settled at 19 weeks, and I finally feel 'normal' again.
Lush, enjoy your meal! I'm jealous, I'm working the night shifts again this weekendI'll swap with you?
Birdie, I bought some Red Herring jeans from Debenhams for £8.40 in the sale. I picked my normal size and they seem to fit well. I'm going back to get another pair!
Jox, I've got an Angelsounds doppler from Amazon.0 -
Afternoon ladies!
Well, I definitely have my nausea back, and I'm down another lb!
Had a cake at a macmillan coffee morning at work, and feeling worse for it now!Jox, I've got an Angelsounds doppler from Amazon.
That's the one we got (my nurse friend recommended it to me as she got one and thought it worked well). Tried it last night but couldn't find the heartbeat.
Will try again over the weekend. Do I need to have a full bladder? Might have been harder as I'd just been before we tried.Mini me due March 2014

afternoon all,
well the doctor phoned yesterday about 4 (was meant to be before 2 but nevermind) and she is going to refer me to physio. I am to just take paracetamol and hope the pain eases.Slept loads better last night but still in a lot of pain today.
Pop down to event city for the baby and toddler show this morning, I am so glad I didn't pay for the tickets as I didn't find the event very good. Maybe its just me (not feeling great with my back), but a lot of the items on sale are well over my budget and I just can not afford them. I did find one of the talks useful about breast feeding and a couple of interesting stalls but that's it!
19 weeks today, 21 to go!! scary!

I'm 14 weeks today going by ovulation, or just over that going by baby's size at 12 week scan. The last couple of weeks have gone quite fast.
I threw up about 7 or 8 times yesterday, and went to bed at 5.30pm & didn't get up til 8am this morning apart from vomiting at 8pm. Was the worst sickness day in a couple of weeks.
Woke up a few times in the night & had sips of water. This morning I woke up so thirsty and light headed so ate & drank loads for breakfast.
I think when I start feeling better I will put on about 5 stone as there are so many things I will want to eat that I haven't been able to in months!
I can sympathise. I'm 23 weeks and I'm dashing for the loo still about 3-4 times a day. This am I had to pull the car over on the way to work to be sick in some bushes! Unfortunatly, I work with alot of people who dont have kids and think it's funny me being constantly green!Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140 -
