Sounds like my 2 scans! Lazy first one and then wouldn't stop moving in the second! Its amazing how much changes in less than 2 weeks!

My MW said I'd hear quickly by phone if there's a problem with the blood results, but receive a letter "when they get round to it" if all ok. It was the 12th when I gave blood and had the letter through on Tuesday this week.

my hormones are all over the place! Lots of crying at nothing much at all....

They asked me how I wanted to be notified of result at booking scan and I opted for a letter as I'm rarely at home and don't answer my mobile to unknown calls lol

Mrs bunny, you're welcome. I wasn't paying either! Now to get dh to remember to print the tickets... ;) Cocodamol is still ok in pregnancy and during birth, but not for breastfeeding, my consultant said. I've also found physio referrals while pg faster than I ever expected. I'm sure they'll be able to sort you out, don't despair :)

Re New Look tshirts/tops, some I found baggy but the ones with lots of printing on (seems to make them have less give?), or in white (almost always look too small imo), I ordered in a size up. Hth

  • Another cr*ppy day in work. Because I only get stat mat pay anyway I'm almost half tempted to jack it all in and just get a temporary job somewhere else and then claim maternity allowance! Im not sure I can face another 6 months of this place. I almost feel like I'm constantly waiting to be given the shove, and feel like I can't do anything right. Please let me win the lottery this weekend!!!

I finally heard the baby's heartbeat yesterday.:j:j:j The consultant found it, although baby moving around a lot didn't make it easy. The consultant wasn't concerned about my family history as unless my parents or siblings had heart concerns or diabetes it was too distant to have a consultant led maternity care.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!
  • Thread crashing to say baby oil works well with the doppler instead of the lube. I loved listening to lo's heartbeat everyday when I was pg.
    Mum of 2 :j
  • Getting slightly jealous of everyone already getting to hear baby's heart beat!

I am starting to show a bit though which has made me smile :-)

Woke up at 3.55am for the loo and ended up awake for almost an hour unable to get comfy and then feeling slightly sick. Bf has been away all week so no comfort on an evening at the minute haha but he's back tonight :-)

Work meal out tonight at which everyone will be drinking alcohol apart from me, I have never been a big drinker and I've never been that bothered by being the only one on soft drinks but...I don't know it feels like I'm being a square as none of them have seen me drink more than one glass haha

We tried the doppler at about 11.5 weeks and got placenta sounds, plus maybe the vaguest hint of something but that may have been wishful thinking. Planning to try it again soon - might dig it out tonight.

Lushlifesaver sounds like me - last Friday I had a work night out. There were only two of us not drinking but it was quite entertaining watching the others. I found the hardest part was the tiredness - after a full on week I was flagging before we started! Hope you have fun :)

I slept the best I have in weeks last night - I think it might be because the news is out there now - I was planning to tell my boss next week but decided I'd build it up in my head and get stressed about it if I did that! My OH put it on Facebook last night so just about everybody knows now.
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

    Sneaks in

Birdie - DS was in his Moses basket for the first 10 weeks (born 7lb 3oz) then moved straight to his cotbed. We liked the Moses basket as the first couple of weeks, he slept downstairs until we went to bed (after that we'd put upstairs about 7.30 and then do all feeding up there until morning). A friend passed on an extra stand so it was easy enough. Even moving him at 10 weeks, he was barely a tiny dot in his cotbed, but adapted well and slept in there fine.

If you're looking to buy a crib though, I wouldn't bother with a Moses basket as well and they'll get a bit longer out of the crib. Have you thought about whether you're happy to move them into their own room if the outgrow the Moses basket in 5/6 weeks?

MrsBunny - the asda little angel sheets are soft and wash really well. Really good for the price. We have a mixture from lots of different places. :rotfl:

  • Eiteews I know what you mean - it's going to be a heck of a late night; the table is booked for 8.30! Loads later than I would ever usually choose to eat! Sounds like they all want to make a bit of a night of it however I certainly don't want to be out in a city I don't know, past midnight! I'll be the squaring encouraging the ones who live near me to go back home to their partners/children at a decent(ish) hour :P

I've lost track of where I'm up to, 14 weeks today I believe so just 182 days to go :)

I'm 14 weeks today going by ovulation, or just over that going by baby's size at 12 week scan. The last couple of weeks have gone quite fast.

I threw up about 7 or 8 times yesterday, and went to bed at 5.30pm & didn't get up til 8am this morning apart from vomiting at 8pm. Was the worst sickness day in a couple of weeks.

Woke up a few times in the night & had sips of water. This morning I woke up so thirsty and light headed so ate & drank loads for breakfast.

I think when I start feeling better I will put on about 5 stone as there are so many things I will want to eat that I haven't been able to in months!

Birdie I'd recommend Asos jeans they are true to size. New look I found useless they were massive on me so sounds like their sizing is just generally a mess if you had problems too! Your furniture set looks really cute.
