It's a wild theory but... The manager needed some quick cash to pay of his last nights pocker debt, stole some from the safe, and blamed it on the new guy.0

I am not sure to be honest - we always had to have undeniable proof, however, as is the same in any business, it is to cover the employer against a tribunal for unfair dismissal. Which, ultimately, will cost many thousands more in costs if the tribunal rules proper procedures were not carried out.0 -

One morning, I got into work to find that my till was about £200 down. I knew that this wasn't true, as I had counted it and submitted a slip with the takings. My manager told me that I was suspended on suspicion on theft, which was extremely distressing for me, as I am not a thief. So, I insisted that my manager call the police! She didn't want to do this, but I insisted, I even had to call them myself because she refused, quoting all sorts of 'company policy BS' and they turned up and took statements from all of us. Guess who took the money? Well, it wasn't me.............I will leave that to your own imaginations..
There is a pub up the road from me in the sticks & the owners let the manager get on to sacking his 3rd member of staff before they figured it was the manager who was the thief. Not Again0 -

It wasn't around here, it was in another part of the country.
Rather a bizarre moment walking into work that day to be honest and I'll always remember it, I walked past the counter (it was about 16 ft long) and into the office and never noticed but something did not look 'right' IYKWIM - I walked back out again and just stood there - gobsmacked. The morning staff had not even noticed everything missing!!0 -

i left work at 2pm i never counted any tills b4 i left the manager did at 8pm,no one else signed for the count of the till that the manager did, other managers have access to safe till was in,the money was missing the day after(i counted at 7.30 am when i started work and found it 180 down
ill just add this is the only time they checked a till the night b4 they dont normally, nor did they in the five days till they suspended me just seems strange the manager did it that night and never again
Did anyone use the till between you leaving at 2pm and the manager counting it at 8pm?Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
OP. get the police in. If I was innocent I would no way have my name dragged through this s**t! Nail the !!!!!! who has done this. Good luck x x2013 NSD challenge 3/100

My hubby was dismissed for having an Industrial Injury milo - the rep never turned up to any of meetings, nor to the one for his dismissal so I'd not guarantee it milo.
Do you have house insurance with free legal cover on it? That should be of help to you also. Someone else on another thread found it covered for advice on employment law.
Are you in a union?0 -
