I would suggest you request that the police are brought in and a full investigation is carried out, this was done at my last place of employment and all office staff management down were questioned and all people who had access to the area were questioned, if you have nothing to hide then you should go down this road.0

I stand to be corrected, but would it not be the employer who would only be able to report the 'missing' money to the police?
The OP would not be doing herself any favours (IMO) if she did report this to the police - that is assuming the police would intervene anyway as it is the employer who has been the victim of alleged theft.
If the OP did indeed feel the need for redress for being accused, then a solicitor would seem to be the obvious course of action, whether that is the sensible thing to do is open to debate of course.
Again, perhaps more information will come to light following the ongoing investigations by the company.
I bet Milo is just pleased that this is all over with!0 -

Only you can decide on that, obviously after consultation with the various agencies (union etc.,) who have been supporting you, however, regardless of what you decide, please do post your updates, as I think it will be most beneficial for anyone who has found themselves in a similar position, and followed your thread from day 1, when you were first accused and at the end of your tether, they can read for themselves that if you follow the correct procedures, and act in a professional manner, as you have done, that it's not always hopeless, and they can prove their case.0 -

Well done for sticking with it - it must have been daunting.
I think you are very sensible to keep that job - you hold your head up high.
Get over the stress - be happy - enjoy the rest of your life.0
