  • your sewing course seems really exciting. I want to go on a stained glass course but they are uber expensive.
  • Hi littleboots,

Just popped in to catch up and add my support. I don't think I could do one of those meal replacement diets - I need more fuel in the tank. I'd be flagging after no time at all.
Well done with the saving - have a good weekend.

    Hello Everyone

    Thanks for your messages :)

Kei - the course I think starts with the basics but who knows where it will lead! I'm not very creative but hoping to learn the skills to be able to make things and mend stuff. The college do a dressmaking course so if I like this one then I may do it.

ShinyT - I think my local college do a stained glass course too. Its just one evening a week. If you earn less than £22k you can get a grant to pay for it, thats what my friend did.

SA - Nice to see you :). Yeah the meal replacement diets arent easy but I'm only doing it for two weeks as a detox/boost. That and the fact my friend is doing it too makes it pretty bearable.

Oooh what a lovely Saturday :)

My monthly weigh in today and I'm 6.5lb down :j
Guessing this is down to the diet :rotfl:

Went to Mr T for a few bit and spent £11.97. For this I got:

Massive bottle of Surf small and mighty, £6. It says 54 washes but I'll get more out of it, it'll last me months :o

2 glade candles BOGOF, theyre my favourite ones, one for the living room one for the bathroom

Shower curtain, 25p:rotfl:I almost bought one at £8 until I clocked the value one :money:It'll do for now
Bath mat , £1.40. It was reduced but came up at £4.48 at the till, quick visit to CS to rectify!

    Scourers and bottle water. Boring

Also 50p for my Boots weigh in :D

Still to get my gardening stuff but waiting to go to b&q.

Going to visit a friend this evening so just need the train fare of £5ish there and back.

Ooh forgot to add, I'm now within the healthy BMI range :j. Right at the top but still there :).

Even though I dont think much of BMI measurements it was still nice to see it saying I was a healthy weight :o

    Slow Sunday

Had a nice wee night lastnight with the girls, just sitting in watching TV and drinking water but good all the same! My friend drove us there so didnt have to mess about with the trains :)

Spent most of today looking up healthy, veggie freezable recipes as think I'm going to start batch cooking next week.

Going to pop to the shops for some bits, was quite sunny earlier but now looks overcast. I also plan to take down the wallpaper in my spare room, keep putting it off but I have been given loan on a black and decker gadget that helps remove it.

  • Hi Little Boots,

Glad I found your diary - you are right ,we do have a lot in common!

Debt, broken hearts, diets and trying to be healthy aswell as sorting out a social life!

Hope you are feeling okay, try to embrace single life which is what I tell myself - there are some positives! - no football, dont have to shave my legs:-) , full control of the remote control, full control of my life, no rows, a full bed to myself, lie ins, comfy pjs, the list goes on!!!

I went to slimming world in November and lost 12lb up to xmas then have put on 5lb - need to loose about 2 stone. Dont go to slimming world anymore but weigh myself every monday morning.

Thanks for inspiration from your diary and i will be reading with interest.

    Thanks and good luck
