Sitting watching the rain pour down (again) but its the nice calm rain not the horrible stormy rain. Still glad I'm inside though
.
The recent storms have claimed my garden fence and now it seems, my roof and gutters. Going to have a chat with my neighbour tomorrow about getting it fixed (roof)then phone the insurance company. Dont have much (any actually) experience dealing with insurance claims, its just always been something I've paid because I need it! I'm guessing they do their best to not pay the money out??? So have to persevere and not be a pushover!
Well the rest of my weekend was OK, Saturday remained fairly quiet but alright. On Sunday I went over to my Mums and stayed the night. Spent £40 yesterday on my 4 week travel card. On way home I popped into H&M but didnt buy anything (tried on a few tops and looked/felt rotten in them).
Was hoping to finally go to a Zumba class tonight but have just discovered I have no gym clothes. OoopsTomorrow I have to wait for a delivery, was hoping they'd have given me a time by now but havent
. Got speed dating on Wednesday, visit from Mum on Thursday and a wee cinema trip planned at some point during the weekend.
Oooh the rain has stopped. Time to go to the shop for milk...

Mood up and down again today but seem to be more in control of it, just plodding along with my day :A.
I'm now feeling able to think about future goals properly now. That must be a good thing:).
First of all is paying off the rest of my overdraft which should be done before summer hopefully.
I then have to save up for work needing done to my flat, theres the roof issue, I need new windows, a new bolier, bathroom needs updating and theres the odd general repairs/lick of paint needing done. Also need to replace my garden fence.
:eek::eek::eek:
Quite scary now it's all written down.
Personal stuff I want to improve my appearance (dont we all:rotfl:). Want to lose at least a stone, learn to choose better fitting clothes and get some make up consultations to find out which colours and shades suit me best. Time I started looking after myself properly.
Another lazy day today, still waiting on delivery :whistle::whistle:. If they come at a decent hour I may head to the shops to buy a new top (planned) and some gym stuff.
But first I'm going to have a cup of tea0 -
Ho Hum
Spends today of £4.62 on bulbs for the garden, a can of diet coke and a packet of choc buttons.
Have planted some of the bulbs (potatoes and onions) and some seeds (courgettes and peppers). Will plant more next month. Garden is still in a right state following the storms but have managed to tidy it up a bit. Guess I'll have to pay someone to rebuild the fenceWill also have to buy more fence as the bits of wood are shattered.
Phoned the insurance company and have started the claim process for the roof. Turns out the people upstairs have water coming in the roof so hopefully we can get it fixed soon. Just have to get some quotes first.0 -
Hi Littleboots
Just a thought but could you not claim off your insurance for the garden fence too??
Hope that the zumba goes well, one of my friends goes and says that you hurt in places that you forgot you had....especially the belly with laughing so much...sounds like great fun and I am sure it will be just what you need.
Keep going your doing really well.
As for Saturday nights I started a farm on farmville, and a cafe, very time consuming which meant also that I did not have time to dwell too much on the past...then I started searching for friends on facebook...found my first b/f and well 4 months later we have just moved in together...are ecstatically happy and the strangest thing is that he had searched for me for years but was just on the outside of my family circle the whole of the time...
I have also met some of my old school friends through it too, as you have a pc try it you might be pleasantly surprised

Hiya thanks for you message! I was thinking about claiming for the fence, I'm just such a woos when it comes to such things. I would probably have saved up to fix the roof if it wasnt for my neighbour mentioning the insurance.
RE Farmville, I first discovered that game back in 2009 and was ADDICTED!!! For about 8 months! Funnily enough I have recently started playing it again, it gets a bit boring though once you get to a certain level as you stop getting extras:rotfl:.
I dont have any other ex's i'd want to see again, none of them (apart from the last) were big loves so its onwards and upwards :j0 -
funny that you should say that you got addicted 'cos I remember clock watching and thinking that I have to go on and tend my crops etc...lol and if I went to my mum's would say can I just go on and tend my farm...and even got to watching her cafe and the food that was spoling....
Even my friend got to that stage, and kept telling the kids to get off the laptop  we laughed and called it farmville rage.... but we still do it even now although mine has dwindled recently.Total debt £[STRIKE]37864.78 [/STRIKECOLOR=purple][STRIKE] £31681.03[/STRIKE] -£16700

So speed dating...
I actually really enjoyed it at the time, thought it was fun and would definitely recommend it. Maybe just as a night out though, not to find the partner of your dreams:p.
Unfortunately I had a bit of a wobble at the end of the night, couldnt help thinking that none of the guys there came close to my ex. Hate feeling like this :wall::wall::wall::wall: still think he's the best guy on the planet :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:.
My friend seems to have got a good result though:jvery happy for her, she deserves it.
Downside is that I spent about £50 odd  on a Wednesday night. However this includes the ticket, lovely meal, half bottle of wine, another drink at the place and a taxi home. Wasnt expecting to be out so late, was hoping to get bus home but...:A. I managed to get a private taxi though, half the cost of a black cab.
Didnt feel very well this morning, maybe the lovely meal didnt agree with me...but feeling alright now.
Txt my friend about last night saying I might not bother filling the form out where you tick who you like. She says I might as well, what harm can it do??? Looking back at an earlier post I pledged to fake felling positive, so I think I will go ahead and fill out the form. If I dont get any matches I'm not too bothered, if I do then we will see. In general though I think I'm best to just stay away from the whole dating scene, I'm not in the right place for it at all.0 -
I am exactly the same littleboots. I think if you can't meet or talk to a guy without comparing him to the ex then the time is not right. It is all a bit fresh. Sounds like you had a good evening though.
My own issue with going out is that I begrudge the money it costs. My ex colleagues would think nothing of spending up to £100 on a night out - I live on less than that each week. Crikey.
Keep your chin up.
Hugs

Hi love, to be honest unless you're the sort of girl who can do the casual bit (and I'm guessing by all this ex chat that you aren't!) then you need to stay away from the whole thing until you're stronger. Your ex is NOT the best guy in the world for you, or he wouldn't be your ex honey.
No harm in sending the form back I suppose but tread carefully and XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0
