I think I'm starting to feel more positive about things
. I stay wary though as I've felt like this before and it just suddenly hits me like a tonne of bricks again. But for now I am okay and looking forward to things. Hope I can keep in this frame of mind, it's very refreshing
.
I'll be back at a more reasonable hour0 -
Littleboots,
Can completely understand and relate to your diary, looking forward to your adventures and goals in 2011. Its just the start for you.
Like yourself I dreamt of the past and remembered all the goods times with my Ex, but one day you have to realise that your happiness matters, you need to concertrate on working out what you want from life and what you want to do.... i became so independant, going out on weekends by myself, and meeting new people and trying all sorts of new things, and one day I met the man of my dreams who I will be marrying in 2012...
Focus on yourself and your happiness. You deserve to be happy, so make the most of being free and independant and financially stable.
Goodluck x

Hello Diary
Well thats me finished my nightshifts for the week. Always a good feeling!
The £1k debt is being chipped away at nicely and I'm happy with its progress so far.
Mood is still up and down but I'm feeling better in general. Starting to see things in a different way. Cant deny my ex is a great guy who made me happy but I was never a priority in his life whereas he was my number 1. And thats not ideal is it?
Got a wee night out with some friends on Friday to look forward to. Was supposed to be going out on Saturday but I think my friend is going to bail, she has good reason though.0 -
Happy Saturday
Well went down to visit my Dad yesterday then had a wee night out with two great pals. Lots of drinks and talking rubbish made for a really great night:j just what I needed.
No plans for today and I feel alright(ish) about it. So gonna clean up around flat and try to forget that I'm in myself on a Saturday night. It'll save me money though, this socialising all the time is costing me a small fortune.
I think for March I'm going to put a set amount away and then when its gone its gone. I dont mind going out and not drinking, just have to be careful with the taxis home etc! I'm going to my Mums to visit tomorrow. Planning on going swimming and to a Zumba class on Monday, got the speed dating on Wednesday then hopefully a cinema trip at the weekend sometime.
My friend and I are going to do the Exante diet, its a food replacement diet which gives good fast results. I've done something similar before so I know what to expect. Planning on following it for two weeks to give my weightloss a boost, £50 for the two weeks but wont be spending any money on food/drink/snacks etc.
Finances are generally OK, put my weekly £10 into my savings tin and have my 4 week travel card to buy at £40. Will have to be careful the rest of the week, shouldnt be too hard as I'm off all week so wont have the works vending machine taking all my hard earned cash off me :rotfl:.0 -
Hi Lb, PM me if you fancy a coffee this week. I'm off tuesday.
Glad you feel a bit better. Only advice on speed dating etc is not to expect too much and take it too seriously. Just enjoy it as a bit of fun and a chance to see a friend if nothing else.
All the others are right, enjoy your single time and do what you want to do. You WILL have ups and downs but it WILL get better. XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Thanks very much souk. I have to wait in for a delivery on Tuesday but hopefully I will know what time tomorrow and we can organise something0
