    Hiya littleboots, :hello:

Just read through some of your diary and think you are a really strong brave person to be getting on with your life and taking up new opportunities after your break-up.

I am in a similar money situation compared to you last year - I owe 6k and I have to pay it off this year so that it is not hanging round my neck anymore! I have a mortgage to pay and am scared that when the rates do go up I wont have the money to pay the extra unless I free up some money! If you have any great tips for getting through the 6k debt then let me know!

Also trying to loose a few pounds but that is so much easier said than done, tried spinning the other week which was great but havn't been since, usualy excuses; too tired, un-motivated, having a NSD! But I have to do something my clothes are a bit tight and I can't buy new ones, they are not in the budget!

Good luck with your money saving you are so close to the finish line!:D

  • Hiya again,

Can honestly say that one evening when I was sat alone, I added my profile onto friends re****** dating site and also another paid the money up front joined up for 6 months. Got a couple of replies one was from my best friends partner..(not good) then one that said AdamSlovesyou....that totally freaked me out as that is my hubbys name and his first initial of his second name. I was totally devastated, as it was the first thing that I saw. Knew then in my heart of hearts that I wasn't ready to date anyone and promptly took off my details..£140 quid later to find out that it was too soon !!

But picked myself up, dusted my self down and moved on from that. Take each day at a time and if you have days where you wanna sit in your p'js and just bawl your eyes out then go for it...those days will pass and thngs will get better.

Try to do at least one thing different each week, and focus on what you can do and not what you can't do....turn all the negatives into positives and things will get better..

Hi love, to be honest unless you're the sort of girl who can do the casual bit (and I'm guessing by all this ex chat that you aren't!) then you need to stay away from the whole thing until you're stronger. Your ex is NOT the best guy in the world for you, or he wouldn't be your ex honey.

No harm in sending the form back I suppose but tread carefully and XXX

    Hiya

I know, you're totally right! I thought that by meeting new people it'd take the focus off him but it hasn't. On a positive note though I now know that I'm definitely not in the right place to be dating but I feel comfortable with it now. Just going to focus on making myself feel fabulous for now. Xxx
  • Kei - hello thanks very much for your message :). Last year I just stuck to my guns and put paying my debt off before everything else. I was lucky in that I had a lodger for a while and got a nice lil tax rebate. Normally I would have blown the money on junk but I was careful to put it all to my debt. I now only have about £700 to pay and it should be gone by the summer. I'll then start saving for all the things needing done to my flat. The weight loss is an ongoing thing! I am rubbish with exercise and this is something I really need to improve on. Best of luck with your goals, look forward to hearing how you do. Xx

BurntFingers - thank you for popping in, I do love your posts! I like the idea of trying new things. I'm hoping to join a dance class soon and I'm going to do a sewing course at the local college in spring! Focusing on me now, it's the way to go! xxx
  • Your doing really well...soon you will wonder how you had time to spend with your ex....!!

The time that you know your getting over him is when a record that used to remind you of him comes on the radio and its nearly at the end before you realise that it used to be his favourite tune...:T

Dunno if you have any pets, but if not have you thought about rescuing a cat? (for example) as the love and affection that you give them comes back several times over...plus the days that you really feel like crawling back under the duvet will give you a reason to get up even if its just to feed them, keeps you occupied and not as tying as a dog.

    hugs

    Well

I usually get paid every Friday, as long as my time sheets are in the previous Fri morning. Today I checked my online bankind and I hadnt been paid :mad::mad:. Turns out they had lost my sheet, luckily all I had to do was go into their offices in town with my copy and theyll pay me next Friday. Just means I have to be a little more careful this week.

No spends today but I'm still going to withdraw £10 to put into my savings tin :D.

I have started the Exante diet today, total meal replacement for two weeks. So far have had an alright tasting banana shake for breakfast, a chewy choc orange bar for lunch and I'm having soup for tea. Along with 3l water a day, very exciting!

Keep hearing good reports about that flabelos thingymajig, 4 sessions are £10 at the sunbed shop. Just seems a bit too good to be true though...

Spends today of £9.80  at the cinema. No drinks or snacks bought as am on this diet. The film was pretty rubbish too :o. Made for a nice wee afternoon out though!

Day two of diet, have had a shake at breakfast, a bar and two litres of water so far. Just started to feel hungry so will have my soup soon.

  • Hi,

Just read through your diary and I think you are doing great. You are making a great effort to get on with your life and things will get easier each day. Exercise is a great mood lifter, I plan on trying Zumba this week as well and I love your list of monthly challenges, think I might steal this idea for March!

Keep your chin up, your doing great.:T
